I'd definitely recommend waiting for a review or watching a couple videos before buying. I have a review written but I'm holding out till tonight. I just thought I should show some video since the trailer showed nothing about it. Also, I should reiterate that I completed the whole game already except for the buggy level I pointed out. I really did not expect that to happen at the end, and that's a big part of the problem -- the physics don't make sense. Quazonk Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2011 1,102 4 38 #8 Quazonk, Oct 29, 2015 Wow, this game looks awful to play. And please don't jump in at me like "OH, you can't say that, you haven't played it!" By watching this video, I'd be doing exactly what AppUnwrapper in doing. And I was getting frustrated for her watching it. I was hotly anticipating this game, and by watching the gameplay, I can make absolutely no correlation between this touching-looking story with cute graphics, and by....stacking blocks and hoping that by some stroke of luck physics will be on my side. It just doesn't look like it makes any sense at all. I'll be dodging this one. Thanks for saving me 3 bucks, AppUnwrapper. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #9 coolpepper43, Oct 29, 2015 I was also looking forward to this. The story and animations are great but the gameplay doesn't make sense. It seems like an odd choice. Even with the physics working correctly it does't look that great. What a let down. If it were just the shapes without the gravity thing, it might have been ok for little kids. But as it stands, I really can't imagine anyone of any age enjoying this. Makes me wonder if it's a very big bug or something that didn't happen in beta? because how can people have beta tested and not found this frustrating? AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #14 AppUnwrapper, Oct 29, 2015 I thought I should report back that I played around more with that level off-camera to see what the deal is. It appears you need to leave a gap between the blocks so they don't knock each other over when they fall. I must have had the gap the first time I played without even realizing it, because I don't remember having trouble with that level. On top of that, it doesn't really fit with the game to require a gap that's not shown in the outline. In other levels, if there's a gap between blocks in the final solution, the gap is shown in the outline as well. So why would the player, in this particular instance, think they need to make a gap for it to work? The puzzles just don't feel well thought out. They're either way too easy and straightforward, or incredibly frustrating due to the unpredictable physics (that you have very little control over). I replayed that level a bunch of times now, and I could create two nearly identical shapes, where one would be successful and one wouldn't. It's a shame the game didn't live up to its hype. I wanted to like it. I completed it to try and give it a chance, even though I honestly was bored after just a few levels. slarti88 Active Member Apr 30, 2015 34 5 8 Freelance software developer #15 slarti88, Oct 30, 2015 So just bought it and played for a while. And now I'm stuck at one of the levels because of the weird pattern which seems impossible based on the game's physics . To be honest the physics seems like a bad mechanic for a game like this. There's too much uncertainty about how things will pan out once you've arranged the blocks. Wasted an hour on that one puzzle, so only opening it if there's an update that fixes that level. I was really looking forward to this too :/ Sweettty Member Nov 2, 2015 10 0 0 #16 Sweettty, Nov 2, 2015 looks not bad false_prophet New Member Nov 3, 2015 2 0 0 #17 false_prophet, Nov 3, 2015 Quick question The game looks pretty ordinary and straightforward from the video review (don't know if you could call it a puzzle at all) and with all these talks of bugged levels how could this thing get a global Apple feature? From what I have heard, Apple is pretty serious about maintaining quality on it's store. How does this reflect on their standards if they feature an incomplete, buggy game globally?
