As the ghost, you will work in increasingly challenging layouts to combine matching colors into abstract shapes from all around the board. As you merge colors together successfully, that particular color will disappear, bringing you closer to level completion. Starting simple, Pokaboo becomes more complex as the game introduces more colors and more complicated schemes to solve. Tapping into both intuition and logic skills, you will need to complete 120 levels in all. With colorfully eerie artwork and a myriad of minimal, ghostly tunes, Pokaboo's meditative and challenging gameplay will haunt your imagination. Features: • Unique and intuitive color-matching game • 120 handcrafted levels across 6 beautiful worlds (more to come) • Extensive replay value with the stars goal • Pick up and play, pause at will, one handed portrait game • Eerie and original soundtrack • Universal UX, no text Information Seller:GlobZ Genre:Puzzle, Strategy Release:Oct 19, 2015 Updated:Jan 07, 2016 Version:1.2 Size:31.3 MB TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating: (5) Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal Pokaboo Member Oct 21, 2015 9 0 0 http://pokaboo.com #2 Pokaboo, Oct 21, 2015 The trailer Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. Level 15 I did one under par, so not 15 moves for the star but 14, wow im that good ha ha, just kidding, love the game, its my Game of the Week. Presumably there are multiple ways to join the blobs, using different sequences of joining and different paths that the ghost takes. If such is the case, is there a way to determine what is the optimal solution for each level? Have you worked out the optimal solution that takes, for example, the minimum moves of moves? Does the player get rewarded for solving the puzzle more efficiently? ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #12 ROGER-NL, Oct 22, 2015 Hi y2kmp3, you can solve every level with as many moves as you like, but to Get a star you need to Get it in a certain amount of moves, I like the game very much, you should try it, its really fun. THE NETHERLANDS #15 ROGER-NL, Oct 22, 2015 I managed only level 15 below par, it said 15 moves and I did it in 14. Agree that this game deserves more attention. Superb puzzle mechanics. Mind-bendingly difficult if your aim is to match or beat the par score. Constantly amazed at some of the low par values that seem to be impossible at first. Very satisfying when the puzzle is finally cracked. One major criticism is that the interface badly needs an undo function (multi-level undo). It is unreasonable to expect the player to "restart" from the beginning each time the player wants to experiment with a new fork in the path. Really turns me off from retrying a level beyond a few trials. Pokaboo, can you address my earlier question about the optimal solutions / minimum moves for each level? Is this known for each level? How are the par score values derived? Is it algorithmically or hand-tested? Some of the solutions are just so ingenious and unexpected. Also, don't understand at all what the score is in GameCenter? How is that calculated? PS: Level Spoiler 5-3 can be completed in only Spoiler 8 moves (par is 10 moves). Can verify (per Roger-NL) that Level Spoiler 1-15 can be completed in only Spoiler 14 moves (par is 15 moves). (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
