How long is the soft launch anyone know? NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #3 NOEN, Oct 1, 2015 Ooh. This looks interesting. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #4 Exact-Psience, Oct 1, 2015 Yup.. Looks like it's time to pull out the NZ again. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #5 NOEN, Oct 1, 2015 I just tried it. I couldn't get into it. It's a bummer cuz it looks really cool, but I just felt like I was sitting there watching a game being played. Your knight goes where he wants and fights who he wants. All you do is hit the button for his special moves and wait for the cool down timer to build back up. I could see if your character moved on his own and you controlled all the fighting or if you did the moving and he auto-attacked or something, but you just watch him fight and every so often hit the special move button, then watch some more. Shame cuz this game would probably be great if you had full control. It would probably be a pretty cool hack & slash. Guess that's what soft launches are for though. Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #6 Based Xatu, Oct 2, 2015 Don't think that you caught onto this being a clicker game. The presentation is great, too and I can't wait to see how the updates progress. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #7 NOEN, Oct 2, 2015 Is that what this is?? Like I said, I didn't play long. It just seemed like there was only a couple buttons to push every so often. There was no non-stop tapping or anything like in most clickers. I went through about 3-4 sections. Maybe things pick up after that. I'll give it another try. Pagan Fox Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2012 476 32 28 #8 Pagan Fox, Oct 2, 2015 It's an odd one this but curiously compelling. Gorgeous graphics, upgradeable weapons and equipment, special skills, loot and tons of gold but as stated, you don't actually control the character apart from the special moves, which, if timed correctly, net you extra gold. There is IAP and premium currency via purple crystals but thus far not needed and you do earn premium crystals whilst battling. Oh and it seems your character earns you gold whilst you are away...... Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #9 Exact-Psience, Oct 2, 2015 I find this really enjoyable. Sure you have no control, but as mentioned above it's got the clicker progression, but without the clicking. Been playing this the last 6 hours now. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #10 hellscaretaker, Oct 2, 2015 Speaking to the the co-founder and CEO on twitter he give me this answer "It is action RPG but we also think that we are the first to combine clicker metagame with meaningful gameplay!" KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #11 KeKhan, Oct 2, 2015 This is a new genre of game, IMO. I'd like to call it: SSRPG (screen-saver RPG) Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #12 Exact-Psience, Oct 3, 2015 The game balance is off in the later playthroughs. Im only on the 3rd prestige, and im earning gold in the thousands, but the upgrade costs are in the millions. That said, i still am pushing forward strong because of the loot equips. Basically, i am depending on each loot i pick up to move forward, but i have never been able to upgrade anything for quite some time. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #13 NOEN, Oct 4, 2015 Ok, ok. So I gave this another chance cuz SOMEBODY messaged me on Twitter to give it another try. I'll admit when I'm wrong and eat my words. Now that I'm looking at this game as like a clicker, I'm actually liking it. I know, I know, I was so against it in the beginning, but I've "seen the light". Haha Special thanks to Hellscaretaker for the tweet. (Your 1 and 0 right now.) Grimstone82 Well-Known Member Jan 3, 2011 594 0 0 Northbrook, IL #14 Grimstone82, Oct 4, 2015 I too didn't realize this was a clicker. I'm glad I came back to this thread because now that I know I gave it another shot and I am definitely enjoying it. I especially like the NO CLICKING part of it as it makes it a much more relaxing play. This will likely stay on my phone for quite some time. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #15 hellscaretaker, Oct 4, 2015 Also when you put the game down, it will still play in the background like a clicker so you can come back and see how much your knight has collected for you. rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #16 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 4, 2015 Yeah, I'm digging this aspect of it. It's sorta like a very casual dungeon crawler that isn't time consuming. kenken11 Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2012 1,808 5 38 #17 kenken11, Oct 4, 2015 Background means minimize or off the app? Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #18 Exact-Psience, Oct 4, 2015 I mentioned in my previous how the earning balance is way off in the later parts of the game when you've ascended a couple times. What i forgot to mention is that i only used the ads for like 3 times before completely abandoning it. What i do is tap on the chest, then cancel when it asks to play ads for something. This needs to be rebalanced to make money as well as make it fun later on in the game coz at the point where im at there's no use to upgrading, and buying IAP cant help me either. It's soft-launch, so i hope the balance can be achieved before the final version for official release. Other than that, this is my second favorite clicker (or non-clicker) right behind Tap Titans, and will definitely stay very long on my devices. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #19 touchy85, Oct 4, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Capronissimo71 Well-Known Member Sep 5, 2011 1,305 137 63 Male Italy #20 Capronissimo71, Oct 4, 2015 Very, very addicting!
