The gameplay was fairly fun and really psychedelic, but besides avoiding and shooting, I'm not sure how the game differentiates itself from other twin stick shooters. Not really my cup of tea, but bullet hell and twin stick shooter lovers may get some enjoyment out of it. lastbitstanding Member Aug 12, 2015 8 0 0 Programmer http://www.lastbitstanding.com #3 lastbitstanding, Oct 1, 2015 Hi The Godless Thanks very much for your feedback and mini review!!! It's just what we needed! (-: How are we different is a good question..: The game is designed to be a maths engine that models nature.. i.e. some of the alien attacks are modelled on the way an eagle attacks it's prey.. So, we are trying to make a game that is fast and gets your adrenaline rushing in an realistic/organic way. The involvement and touch/tilt interface we think is key. In later levels the patterns and formations taken by the aliens requires you to adopt certain strategies to survive - in effect - it's math's in motion with you, bang in the centre of it all! (-: Also, we expose all of this - so click on the Program button and you can see how a level is 'written' and modify or create your own. You're right - the UI is a bit too confusing - we will fix it very sooon! Thanks! Also - A BIG thank you to toucharcade! Without toucharcade, you, or many of the people that had a play yesterday wouldn't have known about our game!!!! Thanks Chris amusing Grace Well-Known Member Dec 23, 2008 1,685 8 38 Music, Muse, Magick Berlin, Germany #4 amusing Grace, Oct 1, 2015 I have to say the UI is too confusing as i spend like 5mins poking around to get to a level. Once i was in a level, i didn't know what to do, how to steer ... So back to poking around again. I managed to play a level in the end, but put it down and decided to wait for more info here. Maybe a guided experience for the first time the app gets opened would help. Also, it did seem like it was downloading, but i didn't know what, i just wanted to play a level and see what the game is all about. It isn not very pretty, but quite intriguing. lastbitstanding Member Aug 12, 2015 8 0 0 Programmer http://www.lastbitstanding.com #5 lastbitstanding, Oct 1, 2015 Hi amusing Grace Thanks very much. I'm pleased you managed to find the tutorials at least!!! I can see you in the high score table! (-: We are working right now to make it more intuitive/easier and will post an update soon. In "Story" there are basically 2 games - a "tutorial" with lots of levels - each level teaching you something new about the game. And "Journey" - which is the actual game. Also, if you click on the high scores next to the levels you can watch a replay of that game to learn techniques from other players... The game downloads level data as it needs to and uploads your replay data once you finish playing a level (if it's your highest score for that level). Anything else please let me know! Thanks again!
