You remember that time when Space Chicks was already looking to be "it" then it suddenly turned freemium? Well, hopefully this one delivers and does well on the charts. This looks great from all angles. warcrack Well-Known Member Aug 15, 2010 1,851 0 36 Electrical Engineer TA http://toucharchive.com #6 warcrack, Sep 23, 2015 Look like Osmos, but with new gameplay options skylined87 Well-Known Member Nov 9, 2014 457 0 16 #7 skylined87, Sep 23, 2015 I'm not really seeing that, but okay. Guess I'm missing something. Art style like nothing I've ever seen before (other than in drawings and tapestries from ancient civilizations), and gameplay like Space Chicks and that other one (Beyond Gravity I believe?) Cannot frickin wait for this one! This, cavestronaut, and that one from Prettygreat are gonna keep me very busy this week. This and now The Deer God seems fixed! 2 artsy adventure games for my visual enjoyment! ### noteatino Well-Known Member Jun 27, 2014 555 0 0 #8 noteatino, Sep 23, 2015 Looks kinda Suburn! And ma'am, I love that game. Can't wait. Felipe MGaia Well-Known Member Aug 7, 2013 122 5 18 #9 Felipe MGaia, Sep 23, 2015 Yeah, that was a pity. The AppStore can be a cruel place sometimes. I do love the gameplay on Space Chicks, the controls feel so good and smooth - but eventually I grew tired of its unchanging infinite loop. TBH I've been getting a bit tired of infinite stuff lately, in a general manner, so I'm really looking forward to playing Astra! Seems to have some innovative mechanics in there, too, so all the best. locomoco Well-Known Member Apr 7, 2015 137 0 0 #10 locomoco, Sep 23, 2015 I was fortunate to get a chance to beta test this game. The controls are similar to Sunburn, but, in my opinion, easier to control with better accuracy. You'll quickly get the hang of the controls (tap once to jump small obstacles, twice to jump higher), but the orbital gameplay is still challenging in a fun way. Although this game can be tough at times, the gorgeous unique artwork and music will make you want to keep playing, especially to see the happy dance at the end of a completed level. You can tell the developers put a lot of heart and soul into the game. One of the more visually original and fun games to come out this year. drelbs Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2009 11,201 7 38 #11 drelbs, Sep 23, 2015 It certainly is gorgeous! I don't normally like orbital platformers. Well, I do...but I don't like what's been on iOS. This though? This!!! I can finally say I have an orbital platformer on my phone for good. It legitimately feels like...you know...A GAME! Not just hopping from one planet to another. Love the Super Mario Galaxy meets Soosiz meets the somewhat Apotheon-y vibe. Brilliant stuff. I'm outta here, folks! PS: Hemera dancing. HEMERA FRICKIN' DANCING! Like metalcasket I have a big smile on my face. Everything in this game is perfect, the art, the sounds, the controls, the mechanics. It's so much more than hopping from one planet to the next. The game starts pretty easily with the first few levels allowing the player to become familiar with the controls, then the fun really starts. You hop from planet to plant to reach the end, but on your way you'll meet enemies, some can be stomped on but others you'll have to navigate round, completing a level sees the next one unlock, unlike the many other orbital platformers, this one requires skill and concentration, there are three wreaths to be obtained at the end of each level, mine for not getting hit, one fore collecting all coins and one for completing the level quickly, to have all three wreaths count on your total each one needs to be gained in the same run, (the highest amount gained is what's added to total) and it's tough, I'm enjoying replaying to find the optimal path to meet all three goals. It's a challenging game but it's doesn't feel frustrating. I truly look forward to playing more. This is a game that will be permantly be staying on my device. There have been very few ios games that have really gripped me this year and this is one of them. For me, it's GOTY material. I really hope this gets the attention it deserves.
