Billy NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #4 NOEN, Sep 19, 2015 This is actually pretty decent. I thought at first that it was going to be a JJ clone because of the name, but I was far from it. I've only played a little bit so far, but what I've played is pretty cool. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #5 redribbon, Sep 20, 2015 yep agree with you. the swipe control is smooth and responsive when doing a zig zag combo attack. also the boss battle is cool. i like the simple 3d level design too. so far its a 4 stars from me. the tutorial is clear enough although still there are some missing point to explained such as upgrade, the crafting system, etc. Grimstone82 Well-Known Member Jan 3, 2011 594 0 0 Northbrook, IL #6 Grimstone82, Sep 20, 2015 I've only played a couple levels and I really like it so far. It looks gorgeous and the controls are unique and very effective but I do have one minor complaint- I don't like that there is no fluid, constant method of moving forward, i.e. swiping right and holding to make the character continually move. The constant and repetitive dashing works awesome in fights, but I wish that wasn't the only way to move forward. Aside from that I have no other complaints and I definitely look forward to playing some more. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #7 LordShad0wz, Sep 20, 2015 I wish a dev would come to the thread. How is the monetization so far? I wish this would just be released. Grimstone82 Well-Known Member Jan 3, 2011 594 0 0 Northbrook, IL #8 Grimstone82, Sep 20, 2015 Been playing quite a bit today and I think it's safe to say that I LOVE this game. It's definitely a recommended download. As far as monetization is concerned, I haven't really looked into it much. There is a stamina meter (hearts) that gets used a bit with every level played, but it does refill with time or you can use the premium currency (gems) to refill it. I haven't hit a point where I have had to spend any money or even use premium currency to advance. So far it seems pretty well balanced. I'll update when I get farther into the game. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #9 ste86uk, Sep 20, 2015 I tried it but I don't get it, no fun for me just swiping to fly around the place and attacks things. I'm the lead designer for "JPF" and, as Todd said, my team and I will be lurking here for your feedback. We just launched in Canada this past week, and we're eager to know what you think and how we can improve the game going forward toward a larger launch. We're also already hard at work on a lot of cool new things we're hoping to share with you soon like new zones, fighters, and special modes. So stay tuned for spoilers and let us know how we can make Jetpack Fighter the best action game on the app store! I didn't have a chance to do that when I created this thread, so I'm glad you were able to!! And I'm also glad the devs found this thread. What are the current plans for a broader release schedule? I've been playing, but I have some not-so-tech-savvy friends that want to play as well. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #14 Exact-Psience, Sep 22, 2015 Really enjoying the gameplay. Im actually quite surprised no one made a game like this yet (unless i missed them which is most likely). On the downside, it's another freemium with timers and random boxed rewards. I've come in terms with myself that if they are done right they arent as bad, but my real problem is that on top of OAC2 and MFF it may be hard to squeeze in another time-sensitive game. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #15 LordShad0wz, Sep 22, 2015 Is there atleast a way to pay to remove the timers? If not all my excitement is gone. I don't play games with timers. Billy Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #16 Exact-Psience, Sep 22, 2015 Yeah i'd love that too. I think it consistently checks online too, but it's not as big of a deal as the timers since im 90% online anyways. I was a huge supporter of smite for you guys and got the game (alpha) when it first came out. Before all the re-skins and modes I'm a huge fan of your work! You guys got a great team and a rocking art design crew. This looks friggen beautiful for sure. From the US so can't wait to get my hands on this! Hopefully not to long into 2016. Keep up the great work! Game on. I have faith in Hi-Rez. Hopefully the timers are not rediculous. Smite was a pay-for-characters or earn them type of game which was balanced and fair. I'm down for dlc / IAP as long as it's not insane in-your--face wait 50 hours for energy and throw down 500,000k to advance the wall. Monetization is planned to be partially based on character access. The philosophy will be similar to our PC/Xb1 game SMITE - where playable characters can be unlocked through gameplay or earned more quickly by paying. We'll be watching the timers as well. Latest patch does have some stamina/timer system but not too restrictive. And we removed the timer from Endless Mode based on community feedback. Keep the feedback coming. Of course core gameplay is most important. Latest release ads a new zone, enemy bots, and earnable characters.
