Sad I'm no Canadian Nah, just joking ! Is there a video or something to help us wait ? Ploulack Member Feb 23, 2013 19 0 0 #3 Ploulack, Sep 7, 2015 Gameplay trailer of course !! https://youtu.be/WFAyh2WsDUM ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #4 ste86uk, Sep 7, 2015 Looks interesting, wondering how much variety it has in troops or those spells/abilities. I'll download it to try when I get a chance. Wondering if its best to have on my iPhone or iPad looks like a game I need to open often. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #5 ste86uk, Sep 8, 2015 So it works seamlessly between my iPhone and iPad although it seems to drain battery massively which is especially noticeable on my iPhone. The graphics are good and there seems to be quite a few heroes to unlock who have different abilities in attack and defence which gives you tactical options and around 9 types of troops I think it is to customise those teams when you do unlock it all. It's swipe based and works great, you have your own town but it's just a small one to upgrade a few things so far. The main bit of the game so far is attacking npc areas for gold and quests and also there's a kind of league system where you can capture towns off other players and earn points in your league for holding them. You setup your defence and they try to steal it back, it's nice and nothing like CoC where you worry about being raided it's just all fun. Although seems like it could do with some work and tweaks on that league and pvp aspect. konilim New Member Aug 19, 2015 2 0 0 #6 konilim, Sep 8, 2015 looks great, pretty excited! Ayjona Well-Known Member Sep 8, 2009 3,295 21 38 Freelance journalist and writer, amateur musician Stockholm, Sweden #7 Ayjona, Sep 8, 2015 The defense system and timing rules seem fairly sophisticated (if not the mechanics themselves, at least their implications), and there does seem to be some variety to offensive combat (teleports, invisibility, positioning, terrain features). Perhaps this could be a freemium PvP RTS with tangible skill and strategy. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #8 ste86uk, Sep 8, 2015 I would like it more if when a base is taken from you your given the gold it had generated up to that point. As often its captures asap and you don't really get any benefit because your not online constantly to collect gold from it. I do want to play this more and see how it goes though, is there still much to do or is it s finished product just testing? Ploulack Member Feb 23, 2013 19 0 0 #9 Ploulack, Sep 8, 2015 Plenty of stuff still to add to the game before launch: - additional heroes - friends challenge mechanics - end game arena - new troop types, etc... About the gold: you are right, and soon you'll back uncollected Gold when losing a territory or at the Ligue's end. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #10 ste86uk, Sep 8, 2015 Last edited: Sep 8, 2015 That's good news thank you, managed to actually hold a mine overnight today! So far I've got up to the witch but need more cash to do the Mage level. Trying to decide who to replace and think I'll try the witch instead of the hero with the ice attack. That sounds awesome that your adding all of that still, will you be keeping it where people can't come and steal your gold? I like fighting players for territory but I also enjoy not having to worry about all my gold being stolen while offline. Also I'd like to see troop stats as I have the swap 5 melee soldiers for 2 archers but no idea what stats any have to know if it's worth it. Possibly health too but I'm not sure if that would clutter up the screen. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #11 ste86uk, Sep 9, 2015 Along with my above post, does the game also need optimising still? I play with my iPad on charge all the time so can't tell but with my iPhone this game burns through 10% battery roughly in 5 minutes of play! firsttouchgame Well-Known Member Sep 8, 2015 50 0 0 #12 firsttouchgame, Sep 9, 2015 Last edited: Sep 9, 2015 Game Impressions ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I like batleplans Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #13 ste86uk, Sep 9, 2015 Either I'm terrible at this or some levels just seem extremely difficult. I got my 4th ship and thought it would make things easier on npc villages but then if they only have 3 I only get to use 3, but I suppose it's still good as it gives battles more to do when you are doing 4v4. The leagues seem quite dependant on when it starts time wise, as I got promoted from the first one but then the next one started just near my bedtime. By the time you wake up everybody has such a huge head start on you. Then in my previous posts that are above and back a few pages the gold your mine in those captured villages really needs to be given to you automatically on loss, as most of the time unless you think you can get 1st or 2nd it's pointless to attack them for no reward. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #14 Zeillusion, Sep 9, 2015 Wow this looks totally amazing! Is it just a soft launch? It's identical in some ways to tactile wars which is odd because that game just came out. These devs are clearly brilliant. Ploulack Member Feb 23, 2013 19 0 0 #15 Ploulack, Sep 9, 2015 Yes, troop stats are coming up shortly. They won't clutter the screen as you'll access them from each troop's respective camp. About fear of being stolen...actually, I prefer to see my plans in actions and get stolen a bit of gold than losing my mine because in the first case, i can then directly improve my plan. So risk of being of being raided when you hold a mine will stay... Ploulack Member Feb 23, 2013 19 0 0 #16 Ploulack, Sep 9, 2015 Thx for the feedback, we'll have to work on this. Can you compare the experience with other 3D games? Most strategy games out there are 2D...which makes the battery comparison difficult. I think the defense and league mechanics really set up quite far apart, don't you think? And thank you for the encouragements! Please post all your impressions, really useful. Ploulack Member Feb 23, 2013 19 0 0 #19 Ploulack, Sep 9, 2015 They're not ships, they're turtles But against NPCs you always go to Battle with all your turtles. It's against other players (blue) that the number of turtles is limited by the map, to garantee fair battles.
