I like make my games free to play to everyone BTW If you had purchased the ultimate pack on Arcane Quest 2, you can get AQA Heroes Pack 1 for free, just open Arcane Quest 2 and you will receive a gift code to redeem. Regards Lickzy Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Oct 28, 2013 921 3 18 Director of Sales Winnipeg, MB, Canada #6 Lickzy, Sep 5, 2015 That's great! I loaded up AQ2, go the code and when I try to redeem it says "Thr gift code does not exist" lordnedox Well-Known Member May 9, 2014 188 20 18 #7 lordnedox, Sep 5, 2015 Hi, please send me an e-mail and write me your code. Some players have experienced problems recognising the characters (the medieval font doesn't help, some numbers look like letters), or because of a momentarily server problem. I hope you enjoy the game, and as I tell everyone asking... this is NOT Arcane Quest 3, which is now under development and will continue the guild saga started with AQ2. This is a spin-off with a different take on the serie. It's faster, it's less strategic perhaps (as you control only one character + mercenary and evocations), but has also a lot of new elements (open areas, complex dungeons, giant bosses and a lot more). Also the semi-permanent death system (only once you find a Crystal, your game is saved and you can continue even if you die) may be a little tedious at the beginning, but makes you advance more carefully. I loved your original Arcane quest on windows phone. Does Arcane Quest 2 pick up where that game ended? zen_mode Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2015 366 0 16 Sydney #16 zen_mode, Sep 7, 2015 Are the dungeons procedurally generated? lordnedox Well-Known Member May 9, 2014 188 20 18 #17 lordnedox, Sep 7, 2015 In one word, no. Arcane Quest 2 is the main branch of the series, it has a different gameplay and style. You control a party of 4, there's the world map, quests etc. Adventures keeps some of the mechanics, but it's quite different as you control a single hero (plus merc and evocations), you progress through 25 levels (instead of 10), and it has semi-permanent death. This is a game more likely you pick up and play easily, without having to manage a whole team and follow a story. Obviously they share a lot of common elements, and Adventures introduce many news (the dungeons are much more complex here, there are droppable items, merchants are in-game etc.). Arcane Quest 3, which will arrive probably (hopefully) by the end of the year, will take where AQ2 left, continuing the story of the new born guild and introducing many new features. lordnedox Well-Known Member May 9, 2014 188 20 18 #18 lordnedox, Sep 7, 2015 Not in this one, there's a fixed number of dungeons and outdoor areas, and they are randomized at the beginning of the game, so most likely you won't face the same dungeons over and over. Regards lordnedox Well-Known Member May 9, 2014 188 20 18 #19 lordnedox, Sep 7, 2015 The first chapter was quite an experiment, the real story begins with AQ2 and will continue with AQ3. Cheers zen_mode Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2015 366 0 16 Sydney #20 zen_mode, Sep 7, 2015 Interesting. Given that there is no real permadeath or procedural level generation, this shouldn't have "roguelike" in the description at all. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
