I have 28 stars. I go into the weapon screen and clicking on any weapon does nothing. Where do I upgrade my weapon? How do I obtain the better ones ? I went to unlock pirates booty. It says unlock for 100 coins. I click it. The next screen says do you want to unlock pirates booty for 500 coins? You can purchase 500 coins for $.99 cents. This game has a lot of issues. At its core it is fun. So there's definitely some good. But you've got to work out these bugs. I'll try to find more and report back. Sometimes I have 275 coins and then I'll click on something and I have -800 coins. It's doing the same with the stars. I unlocked swarm mode and I clicked to play and everything freezes and can't click anything. Really enjoy this game though. Surprisingly good.
