NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #11 NOEN, Aug 27, 2015 Ok. I've only played this for about 15 minutes or so and so far, it's pretty cool. It's dark, slow paced and has a lot of dialogue. It's all voice acted and done fairly well. It's a little bit small on the iPhone. (I'm playing on the iPhone 6) It's still completely playable, but I did have to squint a couple times looking for clues. I'm dowloading it on my iPad right now. As far as the other two chapters, I'm not sure if they just unlock after you pay for it, or if it has to be downloaded. There's no way to check right now. Something must pop up once you finish the first chapter. There are no menus or options. Everything is "artsy" like a classy old movie. Lol. Ill find out more once I finish the first chapter I guess. I can't really say if the game is worth it or not. I'm just too early into the game. So far, it's been pretty cool, so the only thing that would ruin it for me is if the first chapter ended up being really short. I'd say, if you like the screenshots and your looking for a slower paced game with a good story, you can't go wrong picking this up. It seems to be really well done. The controls work well (tap to move) and I really like the dark noir art style. The shadow effects are really nice looking when your using your flashlight and the rain effects are beautiful. I'll try and dig into the game more today if your still on the fence. Like I said, the length would be the only thing that worries me. Other than that, everything else is pretty good. (Sorry for the shitty imps. It's been a crazy night for releases, so I've been playing a little bit of everything.) redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #12 redribbon, Aug 27, 2015 The Gameplay: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Rocafella New Member Aug 27, 2015 1 0 0 UK #13 Rocafella, Aug 27, 2015 Stunning and completely immersive... Have followed this title for quite sometime after I played a beta version last year at Pocketgamer, so I was pretty stoked about it's impending release. Suffice to say, the game completely nails the "film noir" genre employing tremendous post-war European architectural designs, beautiful use of shadow vs light, a dreamy mellow soundtrack and superb voice over acting. The control mechanics are simple to pick up - I'd seen some reviews suggesting problems mastering "guard attack" or avoiding detection, but that has certainly not been my experience on the iPad - while the overarching plot narrative is satisfyingly rich, complex and absorbing. The gameplay dovetails between a mix of stealth and puzzle solving, which I really enjoyed. My only minor gripe is that you have to move each individual character separately to appointed destinations, rather than there being a group function which would save time, but that might be because they each possess different attributes which would make it difficult if guards were ever encountered. Overall, my wait has been worth it as this title delivers a truly enthralling and rewarding gaming experience. I guess everyone was playing Lara Croft last night I wonder how much they can really optimize it. Anything that's as graphic intensive as this looks will certainly fry up your device. I wonder if they've been able to tap into Metal to help out (not sure what they programmed this in). Btw - always look forward to your playthroughs RR, thanks for doing those every week. skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #20 skoptic, Aug 27, 2015 The IAPs aren't listed yet in uk App Store - could anyone with the game let us know how much they are Thanks (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
