BUT I need to be "sold" on the following list of stuff before I can invest $4. Or the cost of 2 candy bars, or a grande latte. Sarcasm off. It looks cool, it's premium, and if it sucks, you tried and gave someone ~$2 for their time and Apple ~$2 to keep on making amazing platforms for us to play on. Sorry for the mini rant, but I just hate the comment "I need to be convinced to buy this game for a couple bucks" when we all spend money on shit all day long that no one convinces us of. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #6 sapphire_neo, Aug 12, 2015 Supporting premium games does not mean buying every premium game under the Sun. Even small app purchases start amounting to a large number if you buy everything without considering merit, especially when the past few months have been amazing for premium games and have resulted in a pretty big expense so far. Merit will always be the primary indicator of whether a game is worth my time and money, and the purchase and "support" for the developer comes as the next step. Is combat handled automatically, or can you direct your fire? Are there ads (based on the warning at the end)? Just because a game has a price tag doesn't mean it's worth playing any more than a game being free means it isn't worth playing. Asking for impressions before spending $4 is hardly unreasonable. lilgac Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2013 260 0 0 #8 lilgac, Aug 12, 2015 What's this? Those are some bizarre things to have in a premium game. Sounds fishy, but hopefully I'm wrong. It simply means there could be a "More Games" section (or something similar) with links to other Bugbyte games and links to Twitter and whatnot. It's perfectly normal. The poster you were replying to was just plain rude. I've noticed a prevailing trend in the past few years - As we see increasing rumblings over f2p, the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction in some cases, where it's often suggested that indy devs that churn out any old poorly designed game and slap on a premium price are somehow God and can do no wrong. As someone that's sprung out what's probably hundreds of dollars on premium games on this platform in the last few years, I can say with confidence that I've been burned far far too many times to pick up almost any new title now without seeing detailed feedback for it first. I'll even go as far as saying that certain devs that frequent this forum, whom I won't name, are actually well aware of this and are milking the premium/retro/screw f2p sentiment for everything it's worth, knowingly putting out extremely sub-par games and spinning themselves as some kind of crusader against f2p and representing their games as something they are clearly not. Predictably , half the people in this forum and even some reviewers fall for this hook, line and sinker, when the emperor clearly has no clothes. I am not saying anything about this game in particular, I have not yet read the impressions in this thread. Just wanted to share my sentiment about this trend that's becoming all too prevalent. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #19 redribbon, Aug 12, 2015 The Gameplay: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel lilgac Well-Known Member Nov 17, 2013 260 0 0 #20 lilgac, Aug 12, 2015 There is a gameplay at YouTube, saw in the battles there are sound effects for missiles but lasers etc are mute?
