But it's made by the creators of "Planet Quest" and I loved this game. So who knows, it could turn out to be a sleeper hit too. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #4 ramzarules, Aug 6, 2015 hahahaa awesome comment OutOfTheBit Member Feb 9, 2015 13 0 1 Game Studio London, UK. #5 OutOfTheBit, Aug 6, 2015 Hey KillerCow (and everyone) Thanks for posting this haha yeah our graphic designer (Arnaud) liked the look of them! What do you guys think? The feedback from Touch Arcade is so useful for us. We made a little trailer too. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #6 LordShad0wz, Aug 6, 2015 Hi there! Congrats on your release! I've been playing it for a bit. I like it. I played battleship with my brothers non stop as a kid. What I like: The different weapon systems you can employ. I like the clean cut graphics and sounds. The auto board set up is quick and decent. The AI isn't too bad at all. It kicked my ass on the first play through hehe. Suggestions: Add a way to have a restorable Iap that generates coins that perhaps you could level up? People like myself do not like to purchase non restorable, consumable, Iap. But I do wish to pay you guys something for the game. I exhausted the starting coins in the first battle and I lost. Even a coin doubler Iap would be good too? Turn the entire ship red when it's sunk. That's it for now. I will continue to play and provide more feedback. I won't be spending any money on Iap but I will watch some ads since you get some rewards. Billy Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #7 Stronsay, Aug 6, 2015 Battleships reminds me of my youth, and fun to play after a busy day when I've no brainpower left. I like the additions to this version which make it more interesting. I get beat every time by the AI though. I started to win online and opponent logged out, as often happens, but good to see the game could be completed against AI. Good choice of purchase options with either cash or watching ads. Would like to see details of opponent ships sunk on my screen. Would make it easier to keep track of what's sunk and what's left rather than counting the dots. Overall this is enjoyable so far. Good work. rezn Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Mar 8, 2014 862 6 18 Male Coder/Keyer in medical ICD 10 Reno, NV #8 rezn, Aug 6, 2015 Those hot girls sold me instantly. I still play Planet Quest sometimes but I was terrible at Battle Ships as a kid. Grew up with 4 sisters. I'll give this a spin nonetheless. Looks pretty. =) skylined87 Well-Known Member Nov 9, 2014 457 0 16 #9 skylined87, Aug 6, 2015 That hottie on the left can sink my battleship anyday... ⚓️## Drelen Member Feb 4, 2014 9 0 0 #10 Drelen, Aug 6, 2015 I will second LordShad0wz post in regards to iaps. I will not spend money for consumables in video games. I'm all for buying a game outright and open to possibility of purchasing a reusable item. But as for spending money for something that will be burned through in one game, nope. Also this game seems very pay2win. It would be more of a competition if the coins trickled in at the same rate for players along with bonus coins for sinking ships. OutOfTheBit Member Feb 9, 2015 13 0 1 Game Studio London, UK. #11 OutOfTheBit, Aug 7, 2015 You guys are the best! and all the suggestions are really good We tried this early on in development, but decided to keep it like the real version as it can serve as part of the strategy (placing your ships in lines/formations to fool the opponent) This is a cool idea! For the next update we are going to implement a Treasure item that if you hit gives you coins or bombs. Also a Mystery Bomb will be added, but this idea of doubling coins and just giving players more coins in general we like. We do have a reward for coming back each day that grows in the days you come back, so if you play today there should be some coins. Any suggestions on new bombs/weapons? Anyway, enough rambling. Thanks again everyone! (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Password: Forgot your password? Stay logged in
