This is just a rip-off of Rhythm Tengoku/ Rhythm Heaven! The first game is exactly the "Choir Boy" minigame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWUML0lvSFk The second one is the "Ring Side": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c9ZqwyN5vU The Third one is "Samurai": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyZbt5obvQg (or "Shoot-em-up": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUBC13cxu7o) And the Fourth One is "Monkey Hear,Monkey Do": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMrlxFryUIQ As you can probably guess I'm a huge huge fan of the series but this is way too much of a rip-off. I have second thoughts about buying... Heck, I didn't even buy it...yet. Yeah, I'm still contemplating getting it. It's just the sound effects are somewhat grating. Maybe it's the fact that (sorry touchy ) touchy was having some difficulty keeping with the rhythm at first. Anyone care to share how big this is uncompressed? These CN games usually bloat up like it's no one's business. Evix Member Dec 30, 2014 10 0 0 #11 Evix, Aug 5, 2015 I miss taptap.. Hopefully we are going to get something similar with online mode soon =/ Quazonk Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2011 1,102 4 38 #12 Quazonk, Aug 6, 2015 Man, you'd think for an audio-heavy game, they'd make the sound effects and music a little more pleasing to the ear. Seriously sounds like a broken trumpet combined with a Bop-It! I was gonna buy this but after those gameplay videos, no way. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #13 metalcasket, Aug 6, 2015 The problem is, I get it...it's mainly for kids, but I seriously doubt that any 9-11 year old would be able to put up with those sounds more than we did. The game sounds like one of those big, yellow, plastic toys that you give to infants. You know, the ones with a million different colored buttons, a squishy, orange, rubber thing that squeaks, etc. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #14 metalcasket, Aug 6, 2015 Alright, I take back what I said! There's something that gets lost in translation when you're watching videos of it being played. It's not anywhere as annoying when you're actually playing it and in sync. The game's enjoyable and an awesome Rhythm Heaven fix for iOS. Just don't expect anything groundbreaking. Really fun and silly though. I'll have to reimmerse myself in Rite of the Shrouded Moon to distract myself away from it unless some really positive imps come pouring in for this one. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #16 metalcasket, Aug 6, 2015 If it makes any difference, I ended up rage deleting this. I was really, really enjoying it and 5-starred pretty much everything. Got 94% completion, but the last 2 levels of...ermmm, the one with the witch playing guitar in the videos above...yeah, they're just ****ing ridiculous. The game is not impossible by any means, but with that mini-game in particular, you just don't know if you're supposed to tap at certain points or if those are squeaky guitar strings. I got SO mad. Shame really, I could've easily seen this having a permanent spot on my phone. :/ Anotherkellydown Moderator Staff Member Patreon Bronze Feb 10, 2014 4,581 1,134 113 Male CAD Technician I Upstate NY https://youtube.com/channel/UCcvu9xhE7xT-mZrXUZQJr5g #17 Anotherkellydown, Aug 7, 2015 Last edited: Aug 7, 2015 Probably gonna grab this after work.
