I really love the entire concept but I think this game still needs some work. Manipulating the objects in the garage can be frustrating at times. I wish you could improve the snap function. Also the battles are a little boring because your machine moves so slow. Are there any thing like booster rockets that can become unlocked further in the game? Also I would suggest having the buttons on by default because it took me a while to figure out that's how it controls. mcballi Member Aug 25, 2013 14 0 0 Germany #9 mcballi, Aug 4, 2015 Thanks for your feedback coolpepper43. I think the snapping function is not really the problem. When we designed the game, we wanted to give the user the most flexibility possible. It was planned to have inverse kinematic. So when the user transforms one item, all the attached items to this one would also be transformed. This would save a lot of time creating the final vehicle. But we didn't manage to implement it for the release version. Maybe in the next big update It is a good idea to enable the button control by default. You can improve the speed of your wheels in the improvement settings. If you unlock power packs, you can spend them for speed, hp etc. There are also items called jetpacks later in the game, which you can use to boost or fly. I'm buying this right now hope there's plenty of different components to build with. Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #12 Sexy Pirate, Aug 4, 2015 well that was short lived. I hope this gets some updates because the idea is cool but at the minute it's virtual impossible to build anything in the creator, it's really hard to drag things around and rotating is a real pain. add that to sometimes things are just staying on the screen (must be a bug/glitch) the item is on the screen but can't be moved or selected? also the buttons need flipping I think because the forward button makes you go back and visa versa. only managed a couple of battles but it doesn't look like the money is handed out very generously either , looking at the price of the upgrades compared to how much I got for winning didn't look good, really hope things get updated and fixed because it looks nice and the idea is there it just doesn't seem finished properly. (iPhone 5s here) would like a mode against random opponents where you can just use any parts you have to as I noticed you can only use select parts on each level. just my impressions after 10 mins really so I'll have another go later on but the difficulty of trying to build anything was putting me off. Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #13 Sexy Pirate, Aug 4, 2015 Last edited: Aug 4, 2015 right back again, after sticking with it until mission 5 it gets better (when you unlock the jet boosters) but the building part is really fiddly and difficult to use. the in game buttons for moving and activating things really could do with a bigger hit radius because you have to be really accurate on pressing the button for it to work. it seems really fun and if the buttons and building part get fixed it will be great but until then it would be hard to reccomend as the issues are really frustrating ones. I'm hoping some where towards the end there's fights against randomly built contraptions if not is this something you plan to add? one more idea it would be pretty good if you just built the thing and could let the AI fight for you. (I used to have a game for my iPad that was like that but can't remember what it was called and it's since been removed from the store) this would be more fun if there was a random kind of skirmish mode where you could just build something and let it fight random opponents, well I'm certainly having a more enjoyable time with it the more I play it. edit. the game was called "rigonauts" wish it hadn't disappeared from the store as it was a brilliant game. mcballi Member Aug 25, 2013 14 0 0 Germany #14 mcballi, Aug 4, 2015 Thank you Sexy Pirate for pointing out the problems you found. It is great if someone gives us detailed description about the experience playing the game. The issue with the small buttons is on my list now. I will change this in the next update. For selecting items during the build phase: You can select the items by tapping on it directly or through the selection buttons on the bottom of the screen. Maybe we didn't show this clearly to the users (Help Menu). And I will take a deeper look into this bug with the items, which are freezed and can't be selected. We thought that rotating items like rotating an image on an iOS device is the best solution for our case, because almost every iphone/ipad user have used it before. So we used the RotationGesture for rotating the items. If more people will complain about this, we will need a different approach. The inverted directions for moving to the left/right during the battle is a bug and will be fixed. The idea that the AI fights for you is a different game mechanic. We want that the player has as much control as possible during the fight because there is not much space in the building screen due to the display size of the ios devices. And creating random enemies is nice idea, we didn't think about when we developed the game. We will consider this and how capable it is. But I can't guarantee that it will make it into the game. mcballi Member Aug 25, 2013 14 0 0 Germany #15 mcballi, Aug 4, 2015 Background Music If you want to get an idea what kind of background music we have in the game and who the band Engines of Vengeance is, than take a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiY7qT3SFfs Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #16 Sexy Pirate, Aug 4, 2015 thanks for the reply. I didn't realise you had to make a pinching style motion to rotate the parts, but that makes sense. I've had a chance to try it out on my retina mini and the buttons seem fine it's just the iPhone that there a bit small on. I've definitely been enjoying it the more I play it and get to grips with the controls and things. even if some f the things don't make it into this game I hope it does well enough for another game as I love these constructing fighting machine games. the random opponents thing was more just so it had lots of play time after completing all the missions really. I've just unlocked the second area and that mixes things up a bit, so I'll keep playing anyway. thanks for making the game. mcballi Member Aug 25, 2013 14 0 0 Germany #17 mcballi, Aug 4, 2015 I'm glad to hear. The multiplayer option is the intended long term motivation for the game. But we will do an additional level with new items and new badass enemies in the future.
