Both versions are exciting twitch games requiring keen puzzle solving skills and logic. * 2 Fun Play Modes, Classic Arcade and Q*bert Rebooted! * Coily and the rest of the crew are back with 3 New Enemies :- Homer, Uppercut and Treasure Chest * 30+ New Levels in 3D Rebooted Mode * Earn Crazy Q*bert Variants like Q*zilla, Q*bot, Q*knight and more First introduced in 1982 by Gottlieb, Q*bert was critically-acclaimed and went on to become the one of the most successful arcade game of all time. It inspired home versions, a variety of Q*bert merchandise, numerous copycat games and even an animated TV series. Q*bert Classic stays true to the original in all its jagged 2D pixel art glory, now optimized for touch screen control. As the title character, players jump around an isometric cube pyramid and convert each blockís color while avoiding familiar adversaries Coily, Ugg, Slick, Sam, Wrong Way and Red Ball. Levels become progressively harder with more enemies blocking your path and the tiles requiring multiple jumps to change to the required color. Q*bert Rebooted takes the arcade classic and catapults it into the 21st century with 3D game play yet remains faithful to the original. Featuring hexagonal blocks instead of squares, Q*bert Rebooted introduces new enemies, playable characters, power-ups, traps, gem collecting and characters, and new ways to play. Control scheme is pretty good! jibjelly Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2015 356 0 0 #5 jibjelly, Jul 22, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Cccee Well-Known Member May 8, 2012 250 0 0 #6 Cccee, Jul 23, 2015 I loved Q*Bert when I was younger. I still love it. Glad to see it includes the Classic version as well as the updated 3D'ish rebooted version. It works great, although it's easier to control on the iPad. The squares are a bit small for my fat fingers on the iPhone in the classic version! I was excited to see this released! gaymerX Well-Known Member Dec 30, 2014 280 0 16 #7 gaymerX, Jul 23, 2015 Loved this game from the 80s. The controls however are not very good. Your fingers are all over the screen. Not as much fun as it could be. Bluejunco Active Member Nov 3, 2012 40 0 0 #8 Bluejunco, Jul 23, 2015 This is a good version. I would like to see more options with controls. Doesn't work well for me personally. Still a solid game. It obviously controls differently than on the PS4. smes3817 Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2009 1,122 10 38 Massachusetts, USA #10 smes3817, Jul 24, 2015 What's the consensus on this? I've been playing and am terrible haha. Love having this again but not playing it for over 20 years has had a significant effect on my skills. Controls seem to be good enough but not perfect. Not really sure how I would adjust them to make 'em better though. guzzla Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze May 12, 2015 162 0 0 #11 guzzla, Jul 24, 2015 It is a nice little game, and only .99 to remove the ads which is good. I didn't see it at first and was about to dump when I went to the shop and there it was. Kudos for that. Still not sure if I am going to do it. Need to see if the game has legs for me, but I played the first 2 levels and it is cool. One thing I hope is that it gets harder. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #12 sapphire_neo, Jul 29, 2015 [thread=266702][/thread] [thread=266633][/thread] [thread=266969][/thread] [thread=266853][/thread] [thread=266705][/thread] [thread=267067][/thread] [thread=266896][/thread] Qbert Rebooted is one of the nominees for Touch Arcade Forums' Game Of The Week July 23rd, 2015 VOTE HERE ***PLEASE NOTE*** 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games.
