My most anticipated game of the summer; this and Pixel Dungeons, and they now reside side-by-side on my home screen in blissful roguelike harmony. Many happy deaths await me! Or is it prompted by the developers? Oscar Streaker Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2011 182 2 18 #15 Oscar Streaker, Jul 3, 2015 Almost Stellar A rogue-like with crafting! Needing to strategically craft items to improve your odds of survival as the difficulty increases is a really great idea. (Are there other games that did this?). I know dying and starting over is nature of these games, but IMO it would be better if some small part of your progress carried over to the next run - a piece of gear, some collected materials... anything to give you a leg up and a little global progression. While the crafting adds strategic depth, it also adds time and effort. I can see having to do the most rudimentary crafting over and over every run, getting old. Dev, give it some thought. Great game tho! Oscar Streaker Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2011 182 2 18 #16 Oscar Streaker, Jul 3, 2015 Haha never mind Just cleared a dungeon. It was pretty easy. So disregard the suggestions I'm my last message, the game works fine as it is. somedumbgamer Well-Known Member May 4, 2013 709 0 0 #17 somedumbgamer, Jul 3, 2015 Last edited: Jul 5, 2015 Del. symptomac Member Patreon Bronze Dec 23, 2012 17 0 1 #18 symptomac, Jul 5, 2015 So charming! I have beaten the first three dungeons and only died once when i was clicking too fast! As some who likes turnbased roguelikes but also likes quick pickup and not having to take notes or lookup complicated recipes this is a sweet game. Crafting couldnt be simpler yet has a medium depth. PROS: Saves automatically all the time. Really great for playing in tiny bits of time. Mapping is helpful here too as even on my iphone 6 i can see where i've been. Dungeons get progressively harder. Food/hunger exists but easy to manage (doesn't get annoying but almost to the point where it isnt needed) CONS: navigation button very old school only. Makes navigating 90 degree turns annoying (diagonals don't work for them). Maybe too easy for some. Others may want more depth of strategy. Summary: scratches that itch for me.
