It's Skee Ball, you should know what it is. Flick to send the ball up the ramp and into the... Score holes It has Plus+, which is always a plus The physics and shadows are great, I love it. Feels like the real thing. The 3d graphics are pretty good too, there's even a slow motion effect on the last ball, and the camera zooms in, which is pretty neat. LOOT! You can buy new skee balls with the tickets you earn, but I believe you're competing with other members to buy them first, as around 8 items are rotated every few minutes (or people are buying them extremely fast!). Loot is mostly for bragging rights, like glow necklaces, spider rings, disco balls, and stuff you'd usually find in an arcade ticket prize booth. It really encourages replaying. There's a handful of achievements too, which also encourages replayability. There's no music, which I personally prefer. Some realistic arcade background sound would be pretty cool though. So far, I love it. Highly recommended if you like Skee Ball. In terms not of gameplay, Plus+ and Loot. PrewDiddy Active Member Jan 23, 2009 31 0 0 #10 PrewDiddy, Sep 22, 2009 Everyone seemed to love 10 balls and this even better! The loot pictures and balls you can use add a lot for the replay. I think it's one of the most impressive engines around. For 99 cents; I can't see how it won't be a favorite for many. The camera is a little lower and more immersive; The graphics are cleaner, and the last ball slo-mo is dramatic. I think it kills Ramp Champ for play realism. Five Star from me. ScottColbert Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2009 1,062 1 36 Phoenix, AZ http://www.scottcolbert.com #11 ScottColbert, Sep 22, 2009 I agree with everything here. The only thing I would add is there are a couple of different ways to throw the ball. The finger swipe as mentioned, as well as holding your thumb on the screen and giving your wrist a flick, which sounds better than it works. I also like that you can tilt your iDevice when the ball is in mid air to kind of guide it, much like a tilt on a pinball machine. As stated graphics are great, the physics are impressive, and dammit it's skee-ball!!! Fun game but when I play it I get that feeling of "I already own this one," which kind of makes you question why 10 Balls 7 Cups wasn't just updated instead. arn Administrator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Apr 19, 2008 2,444 69 48 #14 arn, Sep 22, 2009 yep. if you don't own 10 balls 7 cups, then buy Skee-ball instead (if you're looking for a skee-ball game). If you already own 10 balls, not sure you need to ever get this. The biggest advantage of this is you get a shelf for your loot, so you can see it. arn The Bat Outta Hell Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Mar 10, 2009 9,125 190 38 Hat Salesman Washington #15 The Bat Outta Hell, Sep 22, 2009 Did the makers give Freeverse permission to copy it then? arn Administrator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Apr 19, 2008 2,444 69 48 #16 arn, Sep 22, 2009 It's the same developers (Graveck). Graveck's 10 balls 7 cups was a terrific game that may have generally gotten lost in the App Store shuffle. We worked with Graveck to remix it and add in prizes, and it works perfectly with the official Skee-Ball name! The physics are unlike anything out there right now, they're totally realistic. We're excited to give this game another chance, because it deserves it! --Lydia from Freeverse geb Well-Known Member Nov 7, 2008 54 0 0 #20 geb, Sep 22, 2009 Well I have Ramp Champ and I bought this as well. I think I like this one a bit better because I think its Physics are a bit more realistic. I can make the ball do things here that just frustrate me with Ramp Champ. With Ramp Champ I don't think I will ever clear all the boards. Some of them are hard to do with the physics as they stand. I also like the Plus addition. To me, Plus adds a lot to any game it is partnered with. I love achievements because they extend the life of the game for me. I hope Plus continues to add 3rd parties because I like their social network integration the best. Plus folks -- Go get "I dig it!" to integrate -- my favorite game without Plus I would love to see the Skee-Ball game add some re-skins of the tables as DLC and maybe additional loot down the line. This is one thing Ramp Champ has over this game. Love this game though and surely worth .99 (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
