It's basically a straight up theft. Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #8 Based Xatu, Jun 25, 2015 'Lilith' games was enough of a signal, but the use of pentagrams added to it. I've been seeing a lot of games on the App Store doing this. If you practice magic or you're into esoteric teachings, keep it to yourself and stop shoving your hermetic beliefs in every game. Andre Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2012 3,643 2 38 #9 Andre, Jun 25, 2015 Thank you for take me know, especially Mr. Charley. I'm thinking of getting the monthly pass but don't see what diamonds buy other than the diamond chest to draw a 3* card which you actually get every 48 hrs anyways.... There must be something else/somewhere else to spend diamonds no? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #11 psj3809, Jun 25, 2015 Last edited: Jun 25, 2015 I think most people dont think that. I've played games for years which had the odd pentagram in it. Never thought of anything more apart from 'ahh its a pentagram' and carried on Funny world we live in, near nude semi-clad cartoon image of a young girl and not a word. But the second theres a pentagram its like they're trying to convert us to witchcraft or something ! Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #12 Based Xatu, Jun 25, 2015 Sex and magic go hand in hand. The same games peddling almost naked women, are the same ones that shove pentagrams and hexagrams in everything( I'm looking at you Korea). My problem is the fact that if someone made a game and there was any reference to Christianity, there would be an uproar, but because most people don't know where these symbols or terms come from or that they are actually part of people's religions, they ignore it. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #13 psj3809, Jun 25, 2015 Think youre taking it too far. If a game has reference to christianity i wont be bothered, if its a bit too much (like that Ark 'game' which came out) i'll ignore it totally I dont care if i see a pentagram in a game, like i say theyve been in games for years, think youre taking it way overboard. Past games i've played which had pentagrams in didnt feature sex at all. The majority of people just want to play games, not get into a religious debate. Its my 'escape' from life, just sat there playing a game for 20 minutes instead of thinking 'oh my god thats so unfair, no chrisitan things in this game but lots of devil worshipping....' And again, its okay to kill people in games, the second you show a pentagram, a big no no from some religious people ! Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #14 Based Xatu, Jun 25, 2015 You keep adding things. It's almost like you're ignoring the fact that they are pressing their beliefs into their games. I never brought up that it's unfair that Christian games get ignored. I brought up that it's pretty one sided, people are okay with excepting religion in a form that makes them feel comfortable- like magic. It's not just the pentagrams, I imagine it don't know much about hermetic teachings, but the majority of games we see released have some reference: doom, elder scrolls, everything from blizzard, mortal kombat, dishonored, every Korean game that has released into the AppStore; basically if it has something to do with summoning or medieval times, it's got magic and demons smashed into it. Even the last update from kingdom rush origins pushed it into territory where I won't play it anymore. I'm just saying it would be nice if people kept their religious beliefs, whatever they are, out of games. ypai1217 Well-Known Member Mar 4, 2013 209 0 0 #15 ypai1217, Jun 25, 2015 I'm getting a cannot connect to server error :/ Mr. Charley Well-Known Member Sep 6, 2008 2,628 38 38 #16 Mr. Charley, Jun 25, 2015 Working fine for me... hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #17 hellscaretaker, Jun 25, 2015 smegly Well-Known Member Mar 27, 2012 990 0 0 NY, NY #18 smegly, Jun 25, 2015 It's just a matter of occult stuff being useful in fantasy games. The Japanese use Norse Mythology constantly; it's not a matter of them pushing it as a religion. It doesn't work that way-it would if people still didn't actively worship these gods or still do these practices. When a game has you summoning demons are becoming one, or has you drawing magical symbols , something is wrong. There's a lot of thought that goes into games/movies/books/ etc, so if you think it just gets in there by chance you're way off. There are plenty of people in the business world who do practice magic and worship these gods, I don't need them shoving their religion in my games.
