It feels like such a 1995 game. Even the menus haven't been changed. I love it. It's funny they didn't remove the references to key boards and old school joysticks. Definitely has a tie fighter feel. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #8 coolpepper43, Jun 5, 2015 The mfi controls definitely makes this a really good buy. I forgot how pixelated mid 90 computer games were. Some of the enemy's are hard to see because of this. Really benefits from using an mfi controller, it's definitely the way to go. Ahhh the nostalgia Cybermancer Active Member Aug 10, 2013 26 0 0 #11 Cybermancer, Jun 5, 2015 Sweet. I remember playing this back then because of the "beautiful" graphics. lol coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #12 coolpepper43, Jun 5, 2015 DEV, Could you please use both L1 and L2 for decreasing speed and both R1 and R2 for acceleration for MFI controllers? Those buttons aren't being used. I am constantly pressing the wrong side buttons and this would solve my problem. jayzilla87 Well-Known Member Feb 22, 2014 60 0 0 #13 jayzilla87, Jun 5, 2015 Great stuff, I used to love the freedom of movement, this game felt really big as a little kid, wonder how it holds up when I fire it up again in 2015 I hope we'll see a lot more ports of this period(90's stuff), I like these throwback games! pauldavidmerritt Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2012 213 0 16 Male Ultrasound reporting systems East Rutherford NJ #14 pauldavidmerritt, Jun 5, 2015 I don't believe what I'm seeing here. Can't jump in unless the dev's made a Touch device worthy port. VirtualBoyFreak Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 26, 2011 4,801 85 48 Spain #19 VirtualBoyFreak, Jun 5, 2015 Well, my impressions are not good no autorotation (home button on right side), touch controls are VERY unresponsive on my 4S, even setting gfx to the lowest possible. It takes 1-2 seconds to detect my finger moving the stick of the ship, and the menus have not even been adapted to iOS: you can see they still make reference to keyboard, etc. I've seen lazy ports of PC games before, but this one is top notch regarding lazyness and optimization. Maybe on iPhone 6+ it's great, but on a 4S with iOS 7.1.2 it's a disaster... If you want a good game reminiscent of old PC shooters, go get Edge of Oblivion instead. It's a great Rogue Squadron clone which works smooth as silk on my 4S. Control scheme is an on screen joystick and buttons and the controls work great. Just a really great game. I love how everything is the same as it was. I finished the first mission easily on normal using the on screen controls. For $2.99 you can't go wrong. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
