I love this on PC and wholeheartedly recommend it. It's more traditional than Desktop Dungeons, much lighter in difficulty too but that's not to say it's simple. The progression through the structured campaign is fantastic and the city-building is really nice; simple but plenty of personality. If you can only choose one, I'd probably go with DD admittedly but that's no slight on this one. Can't wait to double double-dip tonight! Guess they deserve my support! Looks fun. Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #10 Misguided, May 27, 2015 This looks great, but there are almost no write ups out there of the PC version. Speaking of PC, this one isn't coming to mobile, but if you guys are into roguelikes, you should check out Cogmind if you aren't familiar with it. It is in alpha still, and I think I want to wait until more of the story elements are in, but it is one of the more unique roguelikes I've ever seen. I played DD a bit on PC but imagine I will end up picking it up as well. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #11 NOEN, May 27, 2015 Yea, really. It even says the 3rd gen iPod touch is supported. Either way, this looks cool. I swear. I gotta start up a Steam account. It looks like I'm missing out on quite a bit wating for games to get released on iOS. It's not stressful, since it's turn-based strategic rather than skill-based (you can take your time and think about what you want to do, as nothing happens unless you take a turn). There's a huge amount of depth to it. But I've only gotten 4/10 locations of the map done, and there are 6 characters you can unlock and play each location with. I'll likely write my review before completing the game, because I don't see it happening too soon. ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #16 ojtitus, May 27, 2015 Haha, Rogue Likes will rule this week! Well, them and Geometry Wars 3. Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #17 Misguided, May 27, 2015 I already know I'm going to pick it up, but thanks. I've played my share of roguelikes. My favorites tend to have some form of progression or persistence, like Sproggiwood does (e.g Shiren the Wanderer on DS). Think I'm really going to enjoy this one, just surprised the PC version hadn't received a bit more attention. I lost both my legs in a work place accident today but Desktop Dungeon and Sproggiwood are here! I swear thesse tears are of joy, I didn't know what I was going to do! As for my workplace accident we have to start making more people aware of the dangers so I will tell you: Never ever keep sunflower seeds in your pocket when sitting down beside your Russian Dwarf Hmaster! I wish I had known what would happen. maybe I could have saved at least one leg! So please Don't make my mistake! We need to get this information out there, we need people to be prepared! Please, if I even see a picture of a furry ball I scream until no screaming comes out! Please, don't let your friends play with vicious monster animals. Thank you for listening. unormal Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2012 72 0 0 #20 unormal, May 27, 2015 Last edited: May 27, 2015 Yeah; the description is correct. I've actually already updated the live iTunes connect page to list iPhone 5+, but this forum posting was copied from a slightly older revision. I'm working on getting it going on 512MB devices, it actually runs for awhile, and the performance is just fine, but after 3 or 4 dungeon plays it just barely pecks at the maximum overhead on 512MB devices and crashes. Just didn't get it 100% stable in time for launch day. Sorry 512MB device holders! (The fact that the highest-end iPod touch is 512 is irksome. ) (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
