Desertking24 Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 95 0 0 #7 Desertking24, May 23, 2015 Oh look another Kairosoft game Quazonk Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2011 1,102 4 38 #8 Quazonk, May 23, 2015 If this game sticks to the ol' tried (or should I say tired) and true Kairosoft formula, that would be downright sad. These guys have sold the same game 319 times now. Get a new trick. NickyNichols Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2012 77 0 6 #11 NickyNichols, May 24, 2015 I have to agree. Kairosoft games used to be instabuy for me, I can honestly say I haven't bought one in years. Mephala Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2013 83 0 6 #12 Mephala, May 25, 2015 This one seems more complicated, a lot more things to juggle. Might be great for those who'd like a Kairosoft game with a bigger challenge. EZ Ice Well-Known Member Sep 22, 2011 119 0 0 Apps Tropical Island Pirate Hangout #13 EZ Ice, May 26, 2015 That's why they make so many of the same game....people are buying them... I get what you're saying though, i'm tired of the cloney mcknockoff app store. These guys are just cloning their own game...lol! DungeonVillage was the best one. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #14 sapphire_neo, May 26, 2015 Kairosoft is a niche developer, they know how to make one style of game very well and they have found success with the same formula. There's no reason why they should not persist with it. By the same token developers like Tin Man Games and Choice of Games should stop releasing gamebooks because they are just "cloning" their own game. It's also worth noting that Kairosoft has released a grand total of two games this year so far. And finally, this particular game seems far larger in scope than most Kairosoft business sims so far. Quazonk Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2011 1,102 4 38 #15 Quazonk, May 26, 2015 I bought probably 7 or 8 of them because Game Dev Story really kicked ass and Mega Mall Story was a lot of fun for me too, but man, I wish they would just release something with a completely fresh formula. I guess I can't be too quick to judge since imps are scarce on this one, but if the screen shots tell the tale, it looks like more of the same. Zevious Zoquis Well-Known Member Sep 20, 2010 957 0 0 Canada #16 Zevious Zoquis, May 26, 2015 I don't know what people are whining about. This is Kairo's thing. THey do it well. Not all their games are great, but most of them are quite enjoyable and a few of them really are great. They aren't going to change what they do so you can either go with it or ignore them. This one looks good. Like always, I'll wait for it to go on sale before I grab it... sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #17 sapphire_neo, May 26, 2015 I'm having a really good time with this so far, it's incredibly easy to lose hours just managing multiple stores. NickyNichols Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2012 77 0 6 #18 NickyNichols, May 26, 2015 I was all about Kairosoft but it all went downhill for me when I bought Edo Towns at release and Venture Towns at release and realized it was the same game with a different theme. Before that I absolutely loved the racing one, the soccer one, game dev, mega mall. StratAll Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2009 160 17 18 #19 StratAll, May 26, 2015 With all due respect, but if you played Venture Towns the way you played Edo Towns you didn't play one of them well. They seem the same with a different skin, but they play very differently if you want to get the most out of the game. The difference is in the way land value is approached (across the land vs. on a specific tile). Concerning Biz Builder Delux, they seem to have thrown their mechanics from several games all into one big game. You've got the 3 different stores from the restaurant niponica one. The product leveling from the clothing store, the treasure hunts from several games, the town development from venture towns, people leveling. Like stated above, this one is quite overwhelming once you're a few years in. Mephala Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2013 83 0 6 #20 Mephala, May 26, 2015 Yes it is quite a challenge. I'm still on one store and having trouble making a profit. Thank goodness for the competitions. Do you find going for the three or more star staff members worth the higher pay? I've tried both but still losing money. Lol. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
