I'll leave more impressions as I get further in. It's important to note that this has been out for a while on windows, and you can play this on your PC as well as iPad. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #3 touchy85, May 20, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel kenken11 Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2012 1,808 5 38 #4 kenken11, May 20, 2015 Omg I love Age of Empires when I was young. I am always using cheat code like "BigDaddy" to crush opposition which was fun. Hope this is not like the other COC clones. KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #5 KeKhan, May 20, 2015 Well, like I said you can control all of your troops individually in battle, which already puts it beyond CoC. But yes, you develope a city and attack other cities. Walls actually mean something in this game tho. They are tall and imposing, and you need special troops to deal with them. Like battering rams and ladder-men. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #6 Exact-Psience, May 20, 2015 Sigh... I wish they'd port one of the AoE titles in addition to this. But I'm happy to put more time in and see how this unfolds for me, I do like the idea of getting a cool base and that it's similar to bases from the game. As I use to spend all my time building huge impenetrable bases and wouldn't care about attacking anyone lol I think they are pretty generous giving 4 builders straight off the bat too! Although I'm not attacking yet as I only had 1 opponent I could beat, the other 3 had loads of walls and towers I couldn't beat. RobertsArsenal Active Member May 5, 2015 26 0 1 #11 RobertsArsenal, May 20, 2015 Unfortunately so, it's like all the other strategy mobile games like it. I had to have an xbox live account myself. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #12 ste86uk, May 20, 2015 You need the internet obviously as it's an online game not a sim builder...mind you even those need the Internet these days. As for xbox live I started playing yesterday and it give me the option to play by GC or sign in with xbox live. Wrath Well-Known Member May 26, 2011 480 9 18 Seattle #13 Wrath, May 20, 2015 My problem is that since I don't like attacking other players I always try and focus all my efforts into defense - which never works in these types of games - players can always break through, the games are always balanced in favor of the attacker. But at least this one sounds a bit more realistic in that regard, go defense! lol andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #14 andysmash, May 20, 2015 Oh cool. Always like seeing some innovative gameplay. Can't way to try out this Fresh Concept from one of gaming's greats! Someone said it's been out awhile. Looks low texture res / quality? Games like rival kingdoms seem to trump this. Not sure though. This could be a gem. Gameplay video doesn't look to promising. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #16 sakara214ever, May 20, 2015 Wow this looks so cool! ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 999 113 #17 ste86uk, May 20, 2015 I think it's been out a while for windows devices not ios unsure on the ios part so maybe they will give it some sharper images before release. But I'm keen to try still as I myself have struggled to beat some bases using walls and towers while so have no siege equipetment yet. pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #18 pka4916, May 20, 2015 Too bad it's not an original AoE game.. like AOE 1,2 or 3 HallmarkCard Well-Known Member Mar 21, 2015 176 5 18 #19 HallmarkCard, May 20, 2015 If I didn't have an iPad Air 2 to play, I couldn't imagine playing this on an iPhone. Thank goodness I can zoom in very close but the troops are still extremely tiny. The buildings are nice and big. I'm not sure what the developers was thinking making the troops basically the size of ants. A real shame, because I enjoy looking at the graphics of troops. I like the game so far and look forward to updates and improvements. When does it come out of Soft Launch? AeroSmash Well-Known Member May 11, 2015 76 0 0 #20 AeroSmash, May 22, 2015 Hi here guys!
