LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #3 LordShad0wz, May 16, 2015 I totally agree. I would like to hear a few impressions before spending $5 and then have in app purchases. If they are reasonable and the reward was great I would be ok with that. I really liked the "in cockpit" view a lot and that alone almost made me hit the purchase button. I hope the game can be played like this from the start? But this is not my favorite genre, so take my enjoyment with a grain of salt. It's a free-flying game, but the mission structure keeps the action tightly focused. The controls we decent (I prefer tilt, but the touch controls are good and apparently the game supports game pads). The graphics are good with a high framerate on an iPhone 6. And I like the space/planet mission mix. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #7 LordShad0wz, May 17, 2015 Hi, How is the IAP structured ? Can you play in cockpit view from the start? Billy squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,715 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #8 squarezero, May 17, 2015 Cockpit view is available from the start. It does reduce your field of vision, so I'm not using it. IAP is for new ships, additional ammo at the start of a mission, and the second campaign. I will probably buy the second campaign. It's very Rogue Squadron- esque, with pretty damn fine production values. Graphics are great, voice acting top notch, and controls are spot on (I only used the on screen joystick, haven't tried it with my controller yet). I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes these type of games, it's certainly up there with the best space dogfighting games on iOS. (Note from moderator squarezero: this is incorrect -- see my comment below.) Edit- forget that recommendation. I just payed $5 for a game, and the only way I can get more ammo is by paying MORE real money? That is absolutely absurd! The developer has some real nerve. $5 is on the more expensive side of the spectrum when it comes to iOS games, and apparently that's not enough for these greedy developers. Literally the only weapon you get for free here is the basic lasers, and then you have to buy ammo packs for actual money. 25 missiles and 12 bombs cost $.99!!! That's is freaking ridiculous. I'm going to try and get a refund for this, I don't want these greedy developers to get a penny from me. It's a shame too, it really is a great game. Oh well. EDIT- I WAS WRONG, I WASNT USING THE MISSILE BUTTON CORRECTLY. YOU DEFINITELY DO GET MISSILES AND SUCH WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY EXTRA MONEY. I APOLOGIZE TO THE DEVS AND TO ANYONE ELSE WHO READ MY POST AND MADE THE DECISION NOT TO BUY THE GAME BASED ON WHAT I SAID. THIS GAME ABSOLUTELY IS AWESOME, AND I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY. Missiles and bombs are recharged at the beginning of every mission -- you do not have to pay for ammo. The ammo packs increase the number of missiles and bombs you get at the beginning of a mission, essentially making the game easier. I have yet to use up all my missiles or bombs in a single mission (I'm on 6th one) so at this point I would say that the ammo IAP is unnecessary. raravan Well-Known Member May 18, 2014 829 38 28 #14 raravan, May 17, 2015 thank you man! now i will play this game to death! squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,715 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #15 squarezero, May 17, 2015 I should note that the additional missiles are consumable, and you use them first (before the standard, replenishable supply). In other words, the IAP missiles are not really a good thing to buy. They are, however, unnecessary as far I can tell. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #16 LordShad0wz, May 17, 2015 Can you tell me the price of the second campaign and how much are the additional ships? Billy squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,715 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #17 squarezero, May 17, 2015 $2.99. It's also 10 missions long. The game includes 60 dogfight missions that seem to reuse environments from the campaign, as well as a survival mode. Missions are ranked, too, so if that's your thing there is a reason to replay them. You can also play in hard mode, which I haven't tried yet. Grimstone82 Well-Known Member Jan 3, 2011 594 0 0 Northbrook, IL #18 Grimstone82, May 17, 2015 Are you sure? Because my homing missiles did not recharge for the second mission. The second mission can be done either with fighters or bombers, and both give you ten missiles at the start every single time. You may be confused by the interface: when you start the mission it says "Homing missiles: 10 +" in white, and "0" in yellow. That yellow "0" is for your IAP purchased missiles. They are in addition to the original 10 in your load out. The only mission that gives you no missiles so far is 6, and that's for story reasons (I won't spoil it).
