That's pretty useless. mpAppTester Well-Known Member May 1, 2014 66 0 0 Germany http://www.youtube.com/user/mpAppTester #6 mpAppTester, May 15, 2015 Review & Gameplay Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #7 saosijs, May 15, 2015 To clarify a little bit more, at the moment it doesn't matter how many grenades you use, all that counts towards the leaderboard (and what appears as score in the games menu) are the points that you earn from the kills (500 for a single kill, 2000 for a double). "Killing" that bonus box gives points too. In summary, there is no incentive to being efficient with your grenades (from leaderboard point of view) which removes a lot of the challenge. The "combined" leaderboard just shows the maximum of your three world total scores. So it duplicates the score of one of the worlds instead of being a grand total sum of the three worlds. Personally I don't see the point in that. Other than above, this is a fragger game and thus is always fun . I'm 15 levels in now and so far the puzzles are on the easy side. I'll give more impressions when I'm further in the game. Testament Member May 15, 2015 7 0 0 #8 Testament, May 15, 2015 Hey Saos, dev here ( Harold ). Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It should not be the case that you don't get you grenade bonus submitted... I'll investigate this and make sure it's not the case for the next update. Also, to your point on the combined leaderboards, I agree. This was not supposed to be this way, it was supposed to be your combined score over all worlds. I used the "Combined" leaderboard game center features which I incorrectly assumed to combine all the scores of the selected leaderboards. Sorry about that, this will be fixed too in the next update. Thanks a ton for playing! saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #9 saosijs, May 15, 2015 Hi Harold! Thanks for responding; I'm already looking forward to the corrections! I like this kind of "physics based" games so I'm definitely playing more of Fragger2. The future corrections will make it even more interesting! Cheers! saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #10 saosijs, May 16, 2015 Hi Harold, I have a question . It doesn't seem consistent when you get the bonus for a multi-kill. For example in W3 L24 I get 2000 points for frying the two enemies in the laser beam, which happened *caused* by a grenade, so it is an indirect kill. But in W3 L26 I also have an indirect multi-kill, but get only the individual kill scores. So why is there this difference? Is there a rule that explains this? Cheers! Testament Member May 15, 2015 7 0 0 #11 Testament, May 17, 2015 Oi Saosijs! The way the bonus multipliers work is : Whatever damages & kills Grunts at the exact time ( same game tick ) yields a bonus. So in these cases what is responsible for killing the Grunts is the Laser, not the Grenade. In W3 L24 the Grunts fall simultaneously onto the laser and therefore get killed at the same time, yielding a bonus. However, on L26 the laser hit's them consecutively but not simultaneously. The laser stops on it's path once it hit's something, so there's a slight delay between hitting each Grunt. Nice job on topping the leaderboards, by the way!! You're kickin' ass! Thank you, it motivates me to work harder to get the next update rolling in with more goodies. Yeah, I'm putting too much time in leaderboards that are going to change But to optimize kill points appears to be a challenge in its own right. Maybe you can keep the current leaderboards as "kill points" leaderboards (possibly as leaderboards for a different game mode, but that might be a lot of work) I do have some minor requests yes - show the current high-score (top of the screen or in the pause menu, not only at the finish of a level) - in the pause menu add a next level button (ease of navigation) - allow to put your finger at any place on the screen and use that as reference (maybe as an option in the menu). Also, I think the finger drawing should stay the same, independent of gravity direction. The (predicted) path curve of course will be different. Currently it still confuses me the way it works now; I can get the job done, but it still doesn't always feel intuitive and I played a lot already Cheers! Testament Member May 15, 2015 7 0 0 #15 Testament, May 17, 2015 There are currently no achievements for GC, but they are already planned. I simply didn't have the time or resources to put them in the initial release. I apologize for that, but they are coming along with more things gradually I'm adding some harder modes that didn't make it in the initial release too, one of which you get the classic arrow, and no trajectory, so you gotta be good with your aiming in this mode. Can you explain to me a bit more detail what you mean to place it anywhere as a reference? By the way, I completely agree with the controls not being intuitive when the gravity shifts in some locations...Especially when it backwards. It's the toughest issue I've had with it, so I'll definitely work on making them better. I'll see about those additions! Thanks again for playing! I'm very eager to get new things out! The first update will be some small fixes ( the score issue, etc. ) But I will continue to update it and add all the new stuff subsequently. I don't like to give it a single number, that is so personal, so I recommend to read the TA review and check out the game play videos in this thread. I personally like it a lot because this is my favorite type of game, physics based with a leaderboard where I can try to find "better" solutions than most players think of, or better than even the dev intended . It is a solid fragger implementation, it really works as expected, and though the game is not perfect (see this same thread) I finished it without any real issues or frustration. Anyway, the dev is committed to make it better where needed and also will update with more content (and as he told me more challenging content; I have to say that at the moment it is on the easier side of the other fraggers). If you liked Fragger, I don't see why you wouldn't spend the price of a coffee and get a game that will last much longer than that coffee would have (but let's not get into the old pricing point discussion, it usually leads nowhere useful ) saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #20 saosijs, Jun 4, 2015 Pantsjo, congrats, you beat me on the leaderboards! It is a real achievement! In W2 I know where there are some points by multi kill but they are hard to get. The other worlds I haven't even an idea yet. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
