Is the truth really black and white or is it merely one of many shades of gray? Celesia- a world once rich and abundant with a source of power known as "energi." This same energi was not only the foundation, but also the origin of all life. And from its blessing, Celesia grew bright and prosperous. Everyone had believed its radiant, white light would never dim. However, their faith was shattered when another energi appeared in the world and began to alter everything as they knew it. Its darkness of blackest black obliterated the light and beckoned only chaos and destruction... Its influence like the gloaming was called "black energi" and both feared and hated. And under the ruling Emperor of the time, it was ordered purged from the face of Celesia. Along with those infected by it... - What is justice? While claiming to protect its citizens, the Empire has launched a ruthless campaign of genocide against the Atramian population- those said to be infected with black energi and whose existence they deem to be a threat to the world. Yet are things as clear as they seem or are there more sinister forces at work? Discover the true face of evil as this next chapter in the Alphadia series reaches to new heights and weaves the convictions of many into a story filled with belief, sacrifice, revenge, and ultimately hope! Aiming to provide optimum usability for smartphone users, many functions along with the user interface have received a major overhaul. These include swiping gestures to move between pages, rolling menus, control schemes with increased flexibility, and adjustable encounter rates to name a few. - Boost Slots & Jobs When using normal attacks or energi, boosts can be applied to increase hit count and strength. Moreover, individual special skills can, in exchange for boost slots, quickly turn the tide of battle in the party's favor. Therefore, knowing when to use boosts and special skills will likely hold the key to victory. There are four types of job orbs, which include fighter, healer, knight, and mage. By equipping these orbs, various energi can be either learned or used. Rumor has it, however, there is even a hidden fifth job! *This game features some in-app-purchase content. While in-app-purchase content requires additional fees, it is not necessary for finishing the game. *The actual price might differ depending on the region. So far it plays quite well. I actually like the boost battle system - charging up boosts allow you to attack multiple times in one turn. I started the game on hard and I'm already enjoying the strategizing of using boosts and defending (you'll understand when you play). The art looks a bit better than the first game though I admit I'm not a fan of this art style. The portraits look nice in game with moving mouths when there's dialogue. The menu interface is the only complaint I saw on Google Play but after a little time I liked it since it was easy to use with little effort of moving your fingers. So far it's one of my favorite Kemco games. But I still haven't played very much so I'll leave more impressions as I progress. It certainly left me feeling more excited than the first Alphadia Genesis. It's Heroes & Castles week, so this'll have to wait til next week or the week after that. Im in between this or Fearless Fantasy for my second purchase, but im leaning towards Fearless Fantasy right now. Here's hoping the pattern of good to bad games in this series can be broken because Alphadia 2 was horrible. These are the best 3d battle graphics I've seen in any Kemco title. The story has me interested. There are lots of options, including battle speed. I have it maxed on my iPad Air. Lots of hand holding, unless you are on hard it seems. The battle system is interesting, and I dare say fresh. You can customize characters with skill orbs thst give you stat bonuses with each rank up. Nice. The ranking system for battle is an interesting touch, and adds some intensity to the battles to earn those bonuses. The IAP seems finenone of the purchases seem game breaking. You can even customize how frequently you get into battles from the option menu! No special item required. Nice. This is definitely worth $5 to me while it's on sale. Beyond that...I'll wait to see how it unfolds. Solarclipse Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2012 879 64 28 #13 Solarclipse, May 23, 2015 What? No love or interest for this game? I've beaten the game and I have to say there are a lot of improvements. In other Kemco titles the arenas are ridiculous, but in this one the battles are doable and are a bit more strategic...it isn't simply monsters with insane stats. Hidden boss hadesvery cool but a prize would have been nice...I guess there is nothing challenging after that anyway though. It would have been nice to have harder monsters in the very last dungeon, it might have gotten me to grind out all the jobs to level 99 for the hero status....just not worth it when I could kill everything already. I appreciate Kemco made the grinding easy by just finishing battles automatically if the enemies are too easy...but then you miss out on bonuses and crate items so it's a good balance. The story is really solid guys. It goes a little out there in the end, but then it connects to other titles which is cool...but the bad guys here aren't really bad guys, which is a really cool and human twist on things. Kudos to the writing team for that. I would highly recommend this game to rpg fans. Th story had me going and the battles are interesting. If you like to grind or not, it's got options for setting the encounter rate. My only gripe would be the dungeon layouts. This is true of many games but it's like...who would use this as their laboratory when it takes this long to get through a labyrinth? What architect would create such a maddening place the guides are kind of welcome for mobile because on hard you could totally forget which direction you were going in and go back the other way. I think a cloud of fog for space you haven't gone to would be he best of both, and encourage more exploration. I would have liked more secret tunnels, too. There were a fair number of them, but, i hunk there should be at least one in every couple dungeons. Oh, and what's up with quest 19? I think it's broken. But all in all, really solid. Good customization, some strategic fighting, good story. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
