No coincidence, no luck. Spacecom pushes your ability to strategize with a focus on real-time tactics and planning. Use proven maneuvers learned from military legends or devise your own plans. Test your wits in single player campaign, go head-to-head with up to 5 opponents in multiplayer or experiment with new strategies in AI skirmish mode. Most of all, you'll need a bright mind, cunning, and sound tactics. When the war begins, leave the little things behind and dive into austere soundscapes as you immerse yourself in starfleet command. From now on, what matters is your grasp of tactics and strategy, not how fast you can click. Spacecom is about creativity in planning, not complexity of game mechanics. Key Features: - Single player campaign that will test your wit in diverse tactical puzzles - Tense multiplayer - dominate up to 5 players per map - No coincidence, no luck. What matters is good planning and successful execution - Sound designed specifically to trigger strategic thinking - Minimalistic visual design inspired by military technology - Created to exalt smart thinking over fast clicking Supported languages: English, Polish, German, French, Russian and Spanish. It's looks nice and I do like the fact that there is a single player game, so I might pick this up later in the week. We'll see how badly I get wrapped up in LoG and what else comes out. Thanks for making it clear there is more than what is shown in the AppStore video. Edit: So I ended up buying this and it is a nice game but badly needs a mid game save option. This is the thinking persons version of galcon, same basic gameplay just slower paced and more strategy with the supplies, production, and repair solar systems. I'm enjoying it. cplr Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2011 468 0 0 #7 cplr, May 7, 2015 Huh, I'm surprised they didn't add mid-game saves. It's the #1 complaint in the Steam reviews, and it definitely seems like it'd be even more needed on mobile. Can't believe that option doesn't exist, especially for the PC version. The screen keeps going black and you have to restart the mission. I hope they fix this ASAP. eugenemcardle Well-Known Member May 21, 2013 357 9 18 Retired, Math/Science Teacher, Air Force Electron Redcliffe Queensland Australia #14 eugenemcardle, May 8, 2015 This happens on ipad air 2 also, but only afterI have left the game and returned later. Still a great little game, well worth the asking price. On leaving the game, during a mission you start the mission again when you play later, so I have not had an issue with saving as yet. I dont even get that... ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #16 ojtitus, May 8, 2015 It really depends on the size of the map you are playing on and the number of AI opponents as well as the difficulty of the AI you choose. On a small map with one AI opponent a game can take about 10-20 minutes, where the large maps with 4-6 AI opponents can take about an hour. Jake7905 Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2013 1,004 0 0 #17 Jake7905, May 8, 2015 Not too bad, considering the "save game" issue. I'm really liking the idea of a slower paced Galcon with deeper strategic elements, my hesitation was the "save game" issue. But for 3 bucks, I think I found my weekend purchase. Thanks for the info. eugenemcardle Well-Known Member May 21, 2013 357 9 18 Retired, Math/Science Teacher, Air Force Electron Redcliffe Queensland Australia #18 eugenemcardle, May 9, 2015 Black screen problem has been fixed in new update. The no mid mission save is quite problematic for us parents with small children. Additionally the fact you can't turn a ship around is annoying as it happens quite frequently since pressing different ships doesn't deselect the previous ship but gives a group command (which is fine) but then you might send ships across the map as a result with no way to turn them back. CORRECTION: you can turn them back but only at the next planet. I guess you lose communications with them as between planets they go into hyper space?? EDIT: A friend of mine also told me he had a bug where clicking ships or stars didn't open the info panels so couldn't invade star systems for example. Had to restart the mission. Quick recommendations: - when you group different types of ships, write on the top, middle and bottom of the triangle the corresponding number for each ship type. It would remove the necessary tap. - at the fleet info screen, sort the different types of ships one next to another.
