Magic Wizard has a lot of stuff to unlock, but it's literally nothing here. It's just a score chaser. I mean, I'm still playing Gunbrick, you know I'm a little bit surprised it's nothing more in this one. Well, all in all, it's still Nitrome with its unique visual style and great sounds, so there's no reason to hesitate. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #8 metalcasket, May 7, 2015 Yeah, it's a fun little time waster, but you can't really compare it to Platform Panic, Silly Sausage, Magic Touch and the premium Nitrome games. This is on the level of Roller Polar and Endless Doves, which are great, but not essential Nitrome games. Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #9 Qwertz555, May 7, 2015 Agree with above said, including my unlock support. This feels more like a quick, yet very polished side project of them, so we just won't let them slip out of our minds until their next hit arrives. This game is difficult from the get go with little margin for mistakes, and the birds' dirty laughing after my death is hilarious, everytime. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #10 macplash, May 7, 2015 Agree as well. I just deleted it from my iPad and put it on my iPhone where I only keep similar casual little time wasters. It's definitely not a bad thing. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #11 macplash, May 7, 2015 Last edited: May 7, 2015 I just had to put those stripped creatures on a t-shirt or, who wants a wallpaper? I seriously want one! Nitrome is one of my favorite devs. They consistently make quality games perfect for playing on my iPhone (like you were saying macplash). Their art style and animations are exceptional every time! Well, yet again they've exceeded my already high expectations with Cooped Up. The slingshot mechanic works so well, and it's nice to be able to pull back on the rope by touching anywhere on the screen (at first I thought you had to touch the rope). Trying to avoid the nice variety of crazy looking birds - each with their own unique movements - while also collecting different bugs to fill your boost meter, gives you plenty to focus on while making your way to the top of the leaderboard. There's also a golden beetle that will fly upwards, awarding you with a free continue if you can nab it. Yes, at the end of the day it's "another high score chaser", but Nirome has a "Magic Touch" when it comes to making the ordinary extraordinary. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
