Is it a risk alike? Best75 Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2012 493 0 16 #4 Best75, May 12, 2015 Game is hexed based. Well the damage system can be a bit like risk with units doing damage between a set of numbers. The games places a lot of unit placing and using the right units. For example submarines do more damage to battleships and aircraft carriers. Armoured cars deal more damage to infantry. fabianb Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2014 1,009 0 36 #5 fabianb, May 26, 2015 The game is actually really good. Just saw it in the Appstore and bought it. Graphics are really nice, animations are smooth and the battles feel sort of alive. Played 4 missions so far so I'm not far into it yet. But there seems plenty of content. Really solid game, no lag etc. Too bad it doesn't get any attention here. Well worth my money. djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,685 105 63 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #6 djstout, May 26, 2015 Can you choose your side? I am very interested if we can play the Pacific war with both Americans and Japanese fabianb Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2014 1,009 0 36 #7 fabianb, May 26, 2015 Not sure but I think it can. They have a new meta-game map where you send your generals on "missions" which take in-game "days" (1 hour equals roughly 4 seconds) to get resources. Hard to explain well since it's supposed to allow players who don't want to spend money on medals a way to grind for resources. The biggest deal for me so far: eventually you can use the resources saved during the meta game to "build" wonders of the world, very similar to how the old games used your commander screen (which still exists) for various bonuses. E.g. the first wonder you unlock (by beating campaign missions) gives you +10 HP to all something (inf, veh, whatever, don't remeber). The Conquer the World mode actually has the entire world, and you CAN skip the AI turns. That's massively important since it's the first time in the World Conqueror series that it's been implemented. Past games like Napoleon and Glory of Generals had it, but not World Conqueror. Insanely better localization despite some hiccups (tanks don't "walk") which imo are forgiveable. Compared to how their English used to be, this game looks like it was almost written by a native speaker. The last bit, is that the generals system seems less geared towards IAP grinding. The skill descriptons are also much better, since you can actually tell what they do instead of guessing and hoping that they work. I like it a lot. Some people in the reviews are complaining about the alien conquer the world scenario being OP. It's the last one, haven't gotten there yet. Also, the really big thing is that you can eventually get a wonder which generates 3 medals for each 80 day period, which means you could ostensibly leave your device on with the game running and farm premium currency, something I've never seen before. If anyone can confirm that this wonder isn't ridiculously impossible to get, I'd appreciate it. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #11 coolpepper43, Aug 14, 2015 Free right now Best75 Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2012 493 0 16 #12 Best75, Aug 15, 2015 You can get the medal wonders. I have not unlocked the 3 medal wonder but other players have. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
