Thanks a lot for the heads-up Pete. No ads but timers so and grinding for exp, more moves and the like. A really enjoyable highscore chaser with surprising depths. Im guessing the stamina is tied to timers when they run out. Pretty fun game, especially a bit different from its kind because of the range system, and how the character moves forward when he attacks. There is stamina which one is used for every fight and does not replenish. There is gold and silver and then they want you to purchase a membership where you can receive gold everyday but it's purchasable with real money. I can't believe they've done this. I'm deleting and contacting the devs to explain how they've ruined something good. The core game itself is great and satisfying but they've destroyed it with the monetization choices. As a freemium game with the usual restrictions, it will do well, even if people (especially veterans to earlier versions of the game) are annoyed by the play limitations. And, of course, it will be more profitable. Myself, I'll play it casually as a "between other games" game, treating the need to upgrade stamina and acquire currency as a measure of progress - rather than the artificial restrictions that we all know they are. (Of course, if it's as you word it above and your stamina doesn't come back on a daily basis, I'm sure they'll get a lot of flak for that.) amusing Grace Well-Known Member Dec 23, 2008 1,685 8 38 Music, Muse, Magick Berlin, Germany #9 amusing Grace, Apr 26, 2015 Ups, yeah saw them now. It's now several hours later and I still have 29. As to what you said I completely disagree. It's stamina and energy systems that are ruining mobile games. Scan Touch Arcade. There are many games that do freemium correctly and prosper. It's the merits of your game combined with a one time purchase that is acceptable. I do not mind spending money on a good game. I just spent $25 on a game recently launched called Lightning Assault. The gameplay is unique and fun. Devs absolutely should be compensated well for their work if it is good. The way it's done in this game however they will not make a dime from me, ever. It's disappointing because the version of the game on Steam is fantastic. They should have done the same on mobile. I would have purchased it. Instead they get no money and I'm not alone in feeling disappointed. Im at a point where i would accept timers done right, but i still prefer doing away with them, or at least play some similar title without timers instead. Wasabininja Active Member Nov 2, 2012 32 0 0 #16 Wasabininja, Apr 26, 2015 I've been wanting to play this so much. I played a few rounds and I'm really enjoying it. The stamina does recharge, but only when you are within the limit. When you hit 0, it should charge up to 5. But I'm guessing you can go over the limit of 5 since we are given 30 stamina to start. Some ftp games here in Korea are like that. One example is the Korean version of wind runner (윈드러너). They were extremely generous with giving out stamina. I've got over 900, so I'm able to play as much as I want. I don't expect devs to be that generous. So let's wait and see. Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #17 Sexy Pirate, Apr 27, 2015 Seems like the energy and currency are not as bad as I originally thought. I've been playing a fair bit and have 50 stamina and gold and about 30k silver. You get plenty of gold and stamina just from playing and complete missions and daily challenges. I bought the members iap so you get xp and currency boosts on certain days of the week and gold each day you log in. And that's all on top of the free stuff you get for logging in daily. Still love this game. There's something so satisfying about the simple controls ad the fights. I'd still says it's better balanced on the Xbox but still a great game. setomoto Well-Known Member Feb 14, 2015 47 0 6 #18 setomoto, Apr 27, 2015 This F2P system is to prevent piracy on OS that allows such thing to happen prevalently. On iOS, especially toucharcade readers and console/PC owners, timers and stamina are more meaningless as we are more willing to pay premium for a game. But the fact is that having it to be free instead of being $.99 is a guarantee for the game to be maintained on the App Store chart, and remain visible for hopefully next couple of weeks. The outrage really stems from the fact that this game was a full premium game on Xbox and steam, and mobile version alienated these players with the timers and premium currency. Viewing this as a totally original game, it's actually very well produced. But I WAS hoping that that the game would be monetized like Mediocre's smash hit and does not commute, just free to download and pay for ad removals and checkpoints.
