I found it via pixelated paradise and I think it's fantastic. Loads of cards with rogue like elements. Super addictive. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #3 Talbs, Apr 25, 2015 Oh man this does look kinda cool. Haven't got it yet but will. But of dream quest vibe going on looks like. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #4 sapphire_neo, Apr 25, 2015 This is a super cool find! On 28F right now on my first run. predator8u Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2013 94 0 0 #5 predator8u, Apr 25, 2015 I got to floor 49, I took a lot of armor and attackx2/magicx2 cards at the end of each round. This game has got a TON of content between the different difficulties, characters and cards there is a lot to do for free. It's one of those games that a really want to give the creator a buck or two. Only issue I've found is there is no way of knowing how much health the enemy's have. But it doesn't ruin my enjoyment. I figured since card crawl has such a solid following here at TA that this game should also. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #6 Talbs, Apr 25, 2015 Haven't had time just yet to go through, but I'm seeing screens in the app description with Chinese (?) text. Is that true? cofunguy Well-Known Member Sep 24, 2012 825 0 0 #7 cofunguy, Apr 25, 2015 Too bad the web page help is in Japanese/Chinese.... predator8u Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2013 94 0 0 #8 predator8u, Apr 25, 2015 Some text is in Chinese but once in gamplay nearly all relevant info is in English. 98% of the words are in English in gameplay. I didn't have any problem figuring it out, it was quite self explanatory except the different type of cards and there actions took a little while. PS, in settings you can turn on the tutorial that covers card types, etc. it's important given there are so many. LordGek Well-Known Member Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Feb 19, 2009 12,282 141 63 Software QA Engineer Saratoga, CA, USA #9 LordGek, Apr 26, 2015 It's a fun lite game. I believe the GC leaderboards are a bit messed up, however, as it is listing my same top score in multiple dungeon leaderboards. predator8u Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2013 94 0 0 #10 predator8u, Apr 26, 2015 Super happy to see this in the hotness list. I hope the additional attention will help the DEV somehow. Also loving the other character beside adventurer. Kedens Well-Known Member Mar 12, 2013 138 0 0 Graphic Design/Illustration Rochester, NY #11 Kedens, Apr 26, 2015 I'm loving this gem. I'm glad I enabled tutorial after a few playthroughs. Dev should offer IAP to disable ads or something so he can Earn a little... But so far it's irrelevant as ads are strictly opt-in for coins at each death Makoto Well-Known Member Jun 7, 2014 306 1 18 #12 Makoto, Apr 26, 2015 From the screen shots, it's Japanese. I wonder how is it compared with dream quest? LordGek Well-Known Member Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Feb 19, 2009 12,282 141 63 Software QA Engineer Saratoga, CA, USA #13 LordGek, Apr 26, 2015 I found this game a lot more simplified with most monsters being nothing but 2D buckets of hp (rarely, beyond their unique HP and damage dealing, do they do anything unique nor are they even playing any cards themselves). sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #14 sapphire_neo, Apr 27, 2015 That'so just the basic set of monsters in the easiest dungeon. The bigger enemies can cause you to discard your entire hand, cause poison, heal themselves, leech hp off you etc. The game has more depth than it lets on, but it is a fairly light game. Makoto Well-Known Member Jun 7, 2014 306 1 18 #15 Makoto, Apr 27, 2015 Thanks for the information! Speaking of DQ, I wish Peter could undo the nerf to professor's innate ability. Pity that he hasn't been at the forum for months VolkerE Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Dec 11, 2014 246 0 0 https://www.facebook.com/dungeonsofchaos/ #16 VolkerE, Apr 28, 2015 love it I love this App. There is considerable depth due to the variety of cards, characters and the occasional tough opponent. A few easy ones and you think you are invincible, building an attack-boost fighter deck. then you face a stone golem and his high guard (=armor) means you achieve nothing, while he auto-heals 3 a turn and trembles your deck around. After dying I tried to modify my deck and adjust to that, easily killing him with a bit of magic blast, self-heal for me and an ignore-guard boost. Only to bump into some 'black face' that makes me bleed. quickly. without me being able to stop it. should not have ignored the "heal bleed" cards, should I? and so you refine and go back... and I have only tried one dungeon and 2 characters, out of plenty. the app shows a lot of depth and the UI is fine. Everything else (tutorial/language) is forgiven, reminds me of playing games when I was 12 years old. I hardly spoke much English and never had a manual. You just learn by playing. Good times. hanklupo Active Member Mar 3, 2014 37 0 0 #20 hanklupo, Aug 21, 2015 Wish more were playing this. I have it on my android phone and ipad, because I love pulling it out when I have a spare few minutes. Love DQ as well, but this fits the bill for when you have less time. I actually enjoy not knowing what everything does. Encourages testing things on your own as opposed to running to a wiki to make sure everything is 100% best way to do things.
