If you love Galaga or Galaxian you will absolutely love this one. It is polished. The relative touch controls work flawlessly. The game runs on iOS 8.3 in full screen. There are no ads and no IAP! There is lots of replayability and lots of levels and enemy types with their own galaga'ish patterns. I cannot say enough great things about this one and for $.99 it's underpriced in my opinion. I left a nice review already on the AppStore. Definitely get this one guys and gals! Sweet game! NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #6 NOEN, Apr 25, 2015 Man! I was going through my watch list and found so many games I've overlooked....including this one. Looks like it hasn't gotten much attention yet. I'll try and leave some imps after I dig into for a few. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #7 LordShad0wz, Apr 26, 2015 NOEN, I suggest saving 1,500 coins for the best ship first! Then work backwards. I'm still working towards it because I purchased the second ship and I basically wasted the coins. They are hard to get in later levels. Excellent game. It has the wonderful Galaga / Galaxian vibe and gameplay. The relative controls are excellent imho. Just a really well made and fun game that's well worth it's price especially for the older gamers like me. Galaga is number 2 on my all time favorite games list. I have it for every platform I own. Billy NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #8 NOEN, Apr 26, 2015 Lol, Damn! I read this after I already bought the second ship! How the heck do you earn coins in this?? It just seems so random right now. It just seems like coins will pop up when they want. I'm loving the game so far though!! The fun really kicks in once you get the third ship. Skipped right over the second one. Thanks for the tip, LordShad0wz. The spread shot is great on that one. Highly, HIGHLY recommend all you retro shooter fans pick this up. Side notes: -The controls work perfectly -Great on both iPad mini with retina and iPhone 5 -Tiny file size -Awesome menu animations when scrolling right/left -Ships/upgrades/power-ups don't take long to save up for -Bonus missions for each level set -Game Center leaderboards -Premium game: no ads, IAP, etc. Just one in-game currency. Coins One little nitpick: -Falling enemy bullets are sometimes hard to see. They flicker. I'd like them to be a little more visible Lavender Well-Known Member Dec 31, 2013 2,966 0 36 United States #10 Lavender, Apr 27, 2015 I am so torn on this one. I have several games in my library of hundreds 'still haven't played them' games.. (You know what I'm talking about! HE HE) that look like they have a familiar game play. Heck, it's just a buck. (Surprised it's not more) but, it's not the money, it's all those games i already have and room on the iPad. Sigh..... Is there a large difference between this one and all the others? Would love to know. I'm not going to mention them here b/c it won't be fair to the dev. But I know the gamers here will know what I'm talking about. And I've played many similar ones as well. IMO this is one of the best of this style on iOS. And like you said, it's not a big risk, as it's very inexpensive. Ultimately it's up to you, but I really think you'd be surprised at the quality of Galactic Nemesis. Good for short bursts or longer sessions. fiskadoro Well-Known Member Jan 1, 2009 326 17 18 Chicago, IL #12 fiskadoro, Apr 27, 2015 I have to agree with this one -- the blue spider thingies dispatch flickery bullets that are really tough to see! I was totally happy to purchase this one for a mere $0.99. It's a really nice Galaxian clone with the ability to upgrade and no IAPs. I decided it was only fair to setup a page with some missing details about the game. Please feel free to provide any feedback that you think could make the game better. I spent 2 months just having friends test the game, asking them to start over and over again trying to strike a balance between WAY too easy, and just way too hard. Sometimes it's a little hard to provide enough detail without making it overly confusing and complex and ruining the jump in and play experience. Still lots of work to be done to make this perfect and well rounded for all. Here's a link to the manual. http://cs54.com/galactic-nemesis-the-missing-manual I'll be checking back to this toucharcade.com forum for sure. Thank you for coming by and saying hello. You've made a great game! Thank you! My only suggestion would be could you please make enemy fire a bit more visible? Some of the colors are pretty tough to see when they flicker. Other than this I love it! Would love to see more ship types. Billy wovencharlie Well-Known Member Apr 27, 2015 192 0 0 Software Engineer Brooklyn, NY #17 wovencharlie, Apr 28, 2015 Thanks for constructive feedback and the kind words! For some background, the reason I added the flickering / sparking fire from some of the aliens (begins with the blue/purple spider) was purposeful to make those aliens a little more difficult. But if the balance between being more difficult to annoying is leaning towards just annoying, it can definitely be addressed. With that in mind, let me know what you think. I'd be more than happy to make some changes and have a few folks beta test & fine tune this. I'd just like to ensure the changes do not make the alien way too easy to beat. Thanks again to everyone here, I sincerely appreciate the feedback :-D - Charlie LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #18 LordShad0wz, Apr 28, 2015 I finally beat level 12! Guys keep playing. Best level 12! There's way more to this game once you beat level 12. And after upgrading the tx3 save your coins. Trust me. Save every coin. Charlie, Could you definitely make the bullets more visible the difficulty ramps up pretty good even without that. I've had the tx3 fully upgraded and I finally just beat 12. I can help you beta test if you like.
