I played for 10 min and didn't really see much depth. It could be there and hidden, but I didn't see it. anabolicMike Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2013 302 0 0 #5 anabolicMike, Apr 16, 2015 Dude the controls are like the game.... They are horrible... Can you please put normal controls in cause all I do is bounce around like Pamela Andersons boobies on a trampoline. Like the art, but playing isn't fun! ItouchBrett Well-Known Member Dec 28, 2008 770 0 16 #8 ItouchBrett, Apr 16, 2015 Oh look a free game. Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #9 Sexy Pirate, Apr 16, 2015 I agree, if this had some virtual dead and buttons it would be much better as I can see the game is pretty cool but it's practically impossible to play due to the fact you can't jump and attack really without just randomly jumping around slashing. Seems like a poor choice of controls is all that's spoiling it tho so here's hoping for an update with the option to change the mm to something more usable. evilabdy Well-Known Member Jan 18, 2014 122 0 0 http://www.soundcloud.com/djkennetha #10 evilabdy, Apr 16, 2015 Based on the description of the game I expected a bit more from it. Guess that part needs to be reworked, because it does not really give you a good picture of the actual game. Graphics are nice, but that's about it anabolicMike Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2013 302 0 0 #11 anabolicMike, Apr 16, 2015 Yes when I re-read my statement: "the controls are like the game" it sounded like I was saying the game was horrible but what I was trying to say was that the game is trying to control your character. You know what I mean? The game is how well you do with the freaking controls. The game itself looks like it could be interesting . Something worth paying for IF the controls are fixed. Oh I know this one was free but I asked for two refunds.... That spell crafter ran like crap and wasn't at all good. I wish Apple did what Google play store did and gave you fifteen minutes to refund without charging you chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #12 chief78, Apr 16, 2015 Wow I popped into the forum expecting to see some praise for this :/ I'm having a blast with this game. It's an endless "craft" style runner. You can upgrade your character during runs, and they are permanent upgrades, so this game has some longevity to it. I can't believe no one else loved the really solid and responsive controls. I'm not having an issue with the jump/attack set-up, but I could see virtual buttons being a good alternative. In liking this so far. EDIT: I meant to add that being able to dig through the ground (hence the "craft" style play) and also attack and kill enemies puts a nice twist on this game. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #13 NOEN, Apr 16, 2015 I'm with you on this one chief. I'm actually really "digging" this game. Man! That joke never gets old! Lol. Yea, I downloaded it this morning and after reading some of the initial impressions, I was about to write this game off, but luckily I tried it! It's pretty frantic gameplay and not having the ability to attack while jumping is a little of a downer. I would have preferred a jump and an attack button, but it's not a deal breaker. I'm not having any issues with anything else. It seems to be a pretty cool game from what I've played so far. With all the releases today, I haven't been able to sink a ton of time into it yet, but I'll definitely be going back to it tonight. All I can say to everybody is, give it another shot. After a lot of tests today, we managed to recreate our controls using buttons. We also conducted a LOT of tests with random people so we could make sure that this was the right choice and... You guys were right. We tried to do something new and "buttonless", but the answer was always under our noses: buttons are awesome. The good news is... we have a new update so you can play with buttons! We also made some bug fixes. Nice question. We made our OST using a VST that emulates the Sega Genesis's chip! Thank you guys so much. We hope you guys enjoy Bit Journey as much as we do. evilabdy Well-Known Member Jan 18, 2014 122 0 0 http://www.soundcloud.com/djkennetha #15 evilabdy, Apr 17, 2015 I'll have to try it again and see how it is after the update drops. Nice and interesting twist on the runner concept, kind of a runner/hack'n'slash hybrid. Game Center is present for friendly comparisons. Nice little mindless fun! Nicely done! Edit: Forgot to mention, your artist needs a raise! MarcosMorais New Member Apr 17, 2015 4 0 0 #18 MarcosMorais, Apr 18, 2015 Thank you so much for the kind words! Yes! We actually have. It was supposed to be there from day one, but we decided to post-pone it to after we see the game's performance. Maybe on our next update? We're planning on doing monthly updates with brand new stuff including new maps and characters! We completely agree with you, he's amazing and we are immensely lucky of having him with us! I liked the game before, but this should really make the game better. anabolicMike Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2013 302 0 0 #20 anabolicMike, Apr 20, 2015 The buttons completely change the game. Now it's actually a game. It's got awesome graphics, really quick... Dudes it's cool. Hmmm. You should continue adding to it no.
