Switch between different heroes to overcome a variety of obstacles and enemies. Teleport and levitate as the Wizard, shape-shift as the Druid and avoid demons as the stealthy Assassin. The real fun comes from using the different heroes’ powers in harmony to overcome even the most despicable of enemies: General Ignorance, Major Trauma and Despair. When the Four Hopes (a legendary band of heroes) die fighting Despair, it’s left to the Boy to carry on alone. He’s not some powerful wizard or warrior but to succeed he must become the greatest of heroes. Taking on the power of the Four Hopes he can fight the demons that plague his world: nervy Anxiety, lazy Apathy and nagging Doubts. But the path ahead is dangerous: the demon-infested Grasslands of Doubt are General Ignorance’s stomping ground, and few cross the Desert of Woe when Major Trauma is watching.Five Hopes is a game about a boy overcoming his demons. It’s been lovingly crafted to give you the best game experience we can. If holding right / forward button and you slide your finger to left / backward button You continue moving in the direction of the forward / right button. Basically it doesn't matter where you slide your finger when holding it down... It continues in the direction until you lift your finger. So to rapidly change direction you must lift your finger then hit the other button. Kills the flow for me... psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,966 718 113 England #6 psj3809, Apr 16, 2015 Yeah same here. Most platformers have that Are there a fair few missions ? Overall apart from the controls is it alright ? Checked the reviews but no help, seemed a bit fake as they were all 'this is great' short replies coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #7 coolpepper43, Apr 16, 2015 That always destroys a good platformer. It's a shame. Why do devs keep doing this is games? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,966 718 113 England #8 psj3809, Apr 16, 2015 We need to create a list ! Also auto rotate should always happen (mostly does now). Shooters need relative touch etc. don't get games tested by friends or families. Surprised this issue got through testing coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #9 coolpepper43, Apr 16, 2015 I was thinking about creating some common sense guidelines for a while now that devs should see when making a game like the ones you mentioned above. I know this is off topic but I do think what you said is a good idea. As for your feedback on the left and right controls I completely get what you mean. This never came up from the people I had the testing the game, but you're absolutely right and I will change it with the next update. Here's a trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG7AlB2Ycxk I am very committed to making changes to the game and adding new content (the next zone is already planned) so any feedback is welcome. Oh and word up on the list thing; make a thread, update the first post as people add things they think should be on it with ones that make sense or are of general consensus.
