Great little burst of games to top off a brilliant week! PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #3 PeteOzzy, Apr 9, 2015 It's really worth watching the trailer on the Appstore for this one (can't seem to find it on YT, for some reason). It's like WarioWare only the solution to each minigame involves using film knowledge to recognise what needs to be done. Such as grabbing Indy's hat before the door closes or opening a door as a velociraptor in Jurassic Park. It looks great too, will happily pick this up with the rest of my purchases! Was worried when i saw the title Downloading now, love wario ware style games and this looks a great idea Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #6 Sexy Pirate, Apr 9, 2015 Well Ive managed to squeeze in a few rounds and it's great. Nice comparison to wario ware as its pretty similar just recreating movie scenes the more you play and the better you do you keep unlocking new scenes that get thrown into the mix which is nice. Overall it's great and a bargain for 79p glad I picked this one up. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #7 psj3809, Apr 9, 2015 Totally agree. Even if i get the same film again when i play i dont mind, love the graphic style, some of the mini games are very funny. Great idea compared to the other Wario Ware style games. Well worth a dollar, be a shame if this gets ignored as this has been a great week of games Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #8 Sexy Pirate, Apr 14, 2015 Been playing this on and off since buying it and I've currently unlocked 35 of the 60 films. Some of the scenes/mini games are brilliant. This should really be getting more attention. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #9 psj3809, Apr 14, 2015 Yep it's great. Haven't unlocked as many as you but really enjoying it macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #10 macplash, Apr 14, 2015 Well, I'm quite disappointed to be honest. I didn't expect anything like this. From the comments I read I expected some trivia game, to use my knowledge of movies and recreating famous scenes from them. Well, the scenes are there, but the gameplay is a letdown. I'm rushed all the time, it's anything but relaxing for me. This game is equivalent of Dumb Ways To Die (or something called like that) I've seen once on my son's iPad. If you like this genre, you'll probably enjoy it. I didn't know it's like that, I should've watched the trailer before bying the game first I guess. Anyway, for its launch price it's not a big deal, I'm just saying it's not what I expected, that's all. cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #11 cloudpuff, Apr 14, 2015 This totally went under my radar. And if I'm totally honest it's the name that put me off opening the thread. But I saw psj comment on the game of the week and saw it wasn't anything iffy. The reference to dumb ways to die makes me more intrigued as the whole of my family had a lot of fun with that. Bought and can't wait to try it. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #12 psj3809, Apr 14, 2015 How come you got it so wrong ? The app description suggests what type of game it is. We mentioned 'wario ware' above (series of mini games). Its a nice quick and easy 'Wario ware' clone just like Dumb Ways to Die as you mentioned. And yeah it had a trailer as well ! I'm glad its a series of mini games rather than a normal trivia quiz. For anyone who loves Wario Ware give this game a go for a dollar psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #13 psj3809, Apr 14, 2015 Let me know what you think of it. I was close to unlocking more movies the other day but just missed out But i'm still surprised at the title, just doesnt relate to what type of game it is. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #14 macplash, Apr 14, 2015 Well, it's quite easy to explain. I didn't read any description or watched the trailer, I'm not familiar with Wario Ware concept either. I just read positive comments in this thread and went directly to the App Store to buy the app, simple as that. I'm not saying anything wrong about the app itself. I just said I'm disappointed because I expected something else. If the "dumb ways to die" is anyone's kind of game, I highly recommended to grab this and you won't be disappointed. That's all. I gave the game a fair chance. I unlocked 30 movies and scored 13.182 points. But it's just fast tapping on the screen mostly and it's not my cup of tea at all. I'm not making a big deal of it. I just wanted to give my feedback on the game even though it's not positive. But it's not a game's fault and I clarified that in my very first post. So, are we good? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #15 psj3809, Apr 14, 2015 I must admit i didnt remember what the speed for the Back to the future car was so i had to look that up Same for Rain Man, finally guessed that one and got it right macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #16 macplash, Apr 14, 2015 I remember number of toothpicks from the Rain Man movie until today and I saw the movie for the first time in cinema back in my elementary school years On the other hand, I've never seen Slumdog Millionare so I have no idea what's the correct answer to that question in-game. Well, elimination method it is. cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #17 cloudpuff, Apr 14, 2015 The very first two things I noticed about this, the app icon which is a movie clicker thing with the world climax under it, kind of gives the impression of a totally different kind of app. I dunno, I'm not sure that together they are a good combination. Also the game is fuxed at what I call upside down? As in the home button is at the top and the game doesn't rotate, which feels weird to me but I don't know if that's just my device or intended? The game itself is lots of fun, you don't need to know about some of the movies as you can figure out what you need to, in the same way as you can in fumb ways to die and there's also a little hint on such as "sink it" The only one I haven't been able to complete from the first play through is "use the force" I have a massive Star Wars loving husband and daughter so I should know lol. Also the matrix one was a bit tricky, I was tilting my device but thats not what you do. I love it though, and I know my husband and daughter will love it too. I'm off to unlock more movies now. cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #18 cloudpuff, Apr 14, 2015 The game isn't actually fixed outside down by default as I thought, it fixes at which ever way the device is when loading, but doesn't auto rotate once loaded.
