Was really looking forward to this (and still am). Since this looks like a steal for 0.99$, and even for 1.99$ for that matter, I instantly hit download. Unfortunately, the minimum OS requirement is iOS 8.1 PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #3 PeteOzzy, Mar 26, 2015 I doubt it will make you feel much better (sorry!) but I'm intrigued for the very low price so I'll pick it up and will leave impressions. So glad I got a new iPad and updated the firmware, I didn't realise how much I was missing out on! I'm not a horror game fan so I haven't played many of Tenb's games but they always look impressive visually so hopefully this is enjoyable. Tenb Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2012 945 7 18 #4 Tenb, Mar 26, 2015 Unfortunately, the minimum version iOS selected for technical reasons. Tenb Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2012 945 7 18 #5 Tenb, Mar 26, 2015 I'll wait for you impressions about the game. PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #6 PeteOzzy, Mar 27, 2015 This is interesting, I don't regret my purchase at all but it will take some adjusting and getting used to get the most out of it. I'm a bit of a sad act in that I love anything to do with dinosaurs and wildlife prehistoric or modern day and so I jumped on this one. It's not too bad in terms of accuracy but I doubt many people will be put off just because the Parasaurolophus walks unusually. They look cool, they're recognisable as their species immediately and it still triggered the Jurassic Park moment of "ooh" the first time you see one stomping around. The draw distance is a little low, with the fog drawing in a lot closer than your sniper is capable of targeting. The land is also quite empty, I think I'd prefer a smaller area with a more vivid ecosystem; plants to walk through that can hide you or a "clever girl". It took more than 20 minutes to find my target Triceratops which was far from ideal. The physics are nice though and the Sniper Elite-esque slowmo bullet cam is cool. There are a lot of modes, each with missions so there's scope for a lot of playtime. I'd love some control customisation as the layout doesn't suit me, though I'll admit I have a wonky preferred layout when it comes to touch screen FPS's. Overall, it's worth the money just to headshot a Velociraptor from 100ft. Not without its issues certainly though I'd easily forgive it if the missions open up to face off against even larger dinosaurs or coherent packs. It's clearly a small team effort but it's a small entry price to match it. DanTheSandMan Member Mar 24, 2015 8 0 0 #7 DanTheSandMan, Mar 27, 2015 Fun game, but it can be improved. I wholly agree with the previous poster. Environments are too large scale and too empty, also the fog is very detracting from the overall experience! It's still a cool game though don't get me wrong ! I'd love to see updates of this to come by, like MFi support, map selection, et cetra. Tenb Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2012 945 7 18 #8 Tenb, Mar 27, 2015 Many thanks your your review, at the moment I am preparing an update which will add more dinosaurs. And more new maps, so the same old card will be improved. According to the encyclopedia, velociraptor hp are 50bb, and it takes two shots to kill it.. So if triceratops have 500bb, then it takes about 20 shots to kill it rightt? In the free hunting, you have to kill as many dinosaur. That make money. In mission mode, you perform all sorts of tasks. Shoot the green zone, your primary weapon damage 25BB ey him 200 - 210 HP is about 8 - 9 shots to the body. For all predators try to shoot in the head, you get bonus damage. Just collecting money for SVD + radar + mines. geno11233 Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 1,054 0 0 #16 geno11233, Mar 27, 2015 Any chance the minimum o.s requirements will change to 8.0? redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #17 redribbon, Mar 27, 2015 @chaos and tenb, thank you for the info Tenb Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2012 945 7 18 #18 Tenb, Mar 27, 2015 At the moment, the minimum 8.1, but it is possible to upgrade to 8.0. Rip73 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2011 4,399 0 0 #19 Rip73, Mar 27, 2015 Just picked this up right now and threw some time in. Was really looking forward to it and so far it does not disappoint. Customisable controls would be nice and greater draw distance with more creatures but I see Tenb has addressed those points already and is planning an update for some of the features so no problem there. Overall, I'm impressed with it so far, it's visually extremely nice and can see my self enjoying it a lot as there is a really nice sized environment in which to track around in. It's also a nice new addition to the store and has no micro transactions so people, get downloading now because I can see huge potential in future updates and is huge value for money now as it stands. Thanks Tenb and the very best of luck with it Tenb Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2012 945 7 18 #20 Tenb, Mar 27, 2015 And thank you for the support. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
