The basic idea is that the blue hexagon can only travel over blue tiles, and the orange square can only travel over orange tiles. After you move one of those shapes down a path, the affected tiles flip to the other color. The puzzles themselves are quite interesting, and the game does a good job of introducing new elements to keep the levels fresh and challenging. It starts out pretty easy but then definitely gets more tricky. rezn Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Mar 8, 2014 862 6 18 Male Coder/Keyer in medical ICD 10 Reno, NV #4 rezn, Mar 26, 2015 Looks like something right up my alley. ediwolframton Active Member Mar 15, 2013 26 0 0 #5 ediwolframton, Mar 26, 2015 Ive just unlocked pathz for FREE, thats an interesting pricing model, so you basically give us the option to unlock via purchase, OR unlock via sharing in the social networks? Twitter seems to work fine. That said, I've unlocked several devices on several accounts (mostly family) using the sharing system, so you should be able to make the unlock via sharing, notice that once unlocked, the main menu will have a "Theme Select" button instead of "Unlock Pathz" button. Very surprised by the depth of some of the puzzles so far. It is obvious that some levels can be solved with different efficiency in terms of the total length of the paths (in number of squares) traveled. Do you have an idea of the minimum length needed to solve each level (that is, the optimal solution)? Don't see a movement length counter in the game. p-o-m apps Well-Known Member May 28, 2010 208 0 0 Haifa #17 p-o-m apps, Mar 30, 2015 @y2kmp3 ,Thanks for the kind words ton of work was invested into each level, they are made by me (and not a level generator) piece by piece, to make them as interesting as possible, and to build a rising difficulty level. Yes, each level has an optimal solution, but I've decided to make PATHZ non competitive, at least in the initial release, but since many came to me with the request of leaderboards, then I'm considering adding some sort of competition element, and movement counter might just be it! Is it true that the intended solutions always use all of the breakable tiles and portals? I am asking this because I found many levels which are entirely solvable without using all of the breakable tiles and at least one level which is entirely solvable without using the portal. In an extreme example ( Spoiler Level 60 ), the level is entirely solvable while leaving 3 breakable tiles unused. Are these tiles and portals to be used always? To be red herrings? To accommodate less efficient alternative solutions? y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #19 y2kmp3, Mar 31, 2015 Last edited: Apr 2, 2015 Update #2 (2-Apr-2015): Finished game. All 120 levels solved. Overall, excellent puzzle game with some very clever twists to otherwise familiar tile-pushing mechanics. A few of the later puzzles are quite tricky (such as Level 86 and Level 114). Many of the later puzzles can be solved in more than one way; unsure if this is intentional or unintended. Also, many solutions do not require use of all of the breakable tiles, portals, elevators, tile switchers, and color switchers; again, unsure if they are intentional red herrings. Seems like some of the puzzles have too many "open" solutions. Still, very solid puzzle game and highly recommended. Update #1: This is also a puzzle that "puzzled" (pun intended) me a lot. That is Level 86. Somehow, I found this one to be exceptionally difficult, out of keeping with the previous puzzles in the game. It is likely that I am blindsided to a critical move that would have made the solution much easier to find. The solution I found involves Spoiler first turning one of the panels in the middle lanes with the stars to the OPPOSITE color of the corresponding star and then return to the turned tile later to fix the color. Is it possible to have a much cleaner solution in which Spoiler ALL of the panels in the middle lanes with the stars will just need to be turned ONCE to the SAME color (never the opposite color) ? I was able to achieve the latter but would then put myself into a position in which the tokens were trapped so that they could never escape to get to the middle lanes. Very interesting to know what I missed on this particular puzzle! p-o-m apps Well-Known Member May 28, 2010 208 0 0 Haifa #20 p-o-m apps, Apr 2, 2015 Hey @y2kmp3, Sorry for the late response, “Is it true that the intended solutions always use all of the breakable tiles and portals?” Breakable tiles - No , Portals - Yes (at least it should be) Are you sure you did not use one of the portal level 60 in order to save it? ill look it up. “This is also a puzzle that "puzzled" (pun intended) me a lot.
