Card gamers should give this a go, it's got some unique mechanics. That and the devs actually are active with the community. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #4 L.Lawliet, Mar 18, 2015 ^ Hey do you know if this is an online only card battler or a solo offline f2p? I'm going to have to make a new account to get this but if it's another online only collector I think I'll pass on it.. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,615 377 83 #5 Talbs, Mar 18, 2015 So far it looks like a solo offline. I just started up in aeroplane mode and it worked. You can login on Facebook if you choose but I haven't yet and am able to play through the campaign (don't think there is anything else), while offline. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #6 L.Lawliet, Mar 18, 2015 Woot! Thanks a lot. That really helped. Now to make an account. I guess it'll just be the few of us playing. Let me know if you're still liking it later. To be honest, solo card battlers are rare nowadays. They used to be popular in the early Appstore and they'd be fun to pick up and play anywhere. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,615 377 83 #7 Talbs, Mar 18, 2015 Last edited: Mar 18, 2015 To be honest, it's the break outside of the usual card battler mechanic that has me somewhat interested. But otherwise I'm not that into it. Battles at the moment for me are just a frantic rush of trying to get as much damage cards and healing cards out as possible. I don't really have time to stop and see what the opponent is playing. There isn't really time to stop and smell the roses in battle with this one. Which is why I'm thinking of suggesting a pause button to the devs kind of like how FTL works, where it's completely part of the game to be pausing constantly and strategising. They could build the game around that a little, though maybe too late. As it is, it's real time and cards have a cool down before they take effect. I'm somewhat interested but all card crazy's should give it a go. Actually, explaining that mechanic has made me think of assassins creed recollection. Which this game isn't, but does share that real time card battler with cool downs thing. Man ACR, now that was good. What the hell ubi! Sorry, digression over. houseofg Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Oct 1, 2013 1,611 82 48 #8 houseofg, May 8, 2015 Released, FYI. I want to remove ads, but will other IAP remove ads too? kopicha Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2015 716 25 28 IT #10 kopicha, May 8, 2015 Really love the art work in this game.cthey are really beautifully drawn sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #11 sapphire_neo, May 8, 2015 This seems like a really good game trapped beneath freemium monetization, which is unfortunate because my patience with freemium shenanigans is at an all time low thanks to the the glut of amazing premium releases we have had recently. I'll give it a few hours but if it's a grindfest then I'm out. sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #12 sapphire_neo, May 8, 2015 Haha your character "deck" in this can consist of a maximum of 5 cards. Not 5 copies of a card, just five cards. And you're limited to having three characters in battles, so that's a maximum of 15 cards. I'm all for having thin decks but 15 cards is an absurdly low number. Plus you have all the freemium trappings, dual currency (all purchasable items from the blacksmith need crystals), stamina, gambling for rewards. Yup, I'm out. What a waste of great art... ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #13 ShinHadoukin, May 8, 2015 If this game has a "Premium" IAP I would buy just based on the art alone! The production value is fantastic!!! I love the fast battles as a change from slower methodical turn based card games (which I love). The music is also superb. Saying that, the freemium aspect of this game is terrible. No, I do not like freemiun but that isn't the only problem here. This is not a game that is the next "million dollar" game all developers think they have made. This is s great game, but the type of game that "everyone" downloads like "stupid crush" or crossy road. This is the type of game for a particular group. Also, do the developers realize Gearthstone just came to phones? This isn't online which is awesome, but there are too many great card games on the App Store (and more to come) to have to worry about stamina bars & multiple currencies. PLEASE RETHINK THIS ISP & GIVE US A FULL UNLOCK!!!! I want developers to make money & I will pay, but not if I pay & still have stamina. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #14 ShinHadoukin, May 8, 2015 corrections: This is NOT.... "Stupid crush" Hearthstone IAP Sorry ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #15 ShinHadoukin, May 8, 2015 Needs an IAP to get rid of the stamina nonsense. Like, the ad remover also removes the stamina meter. PLEASE!!! (Dungelot 2 learned its lesson for you) kopicha Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2015 716 25 28 IT #16 kopicha, May 9, 2015 I really agree on the stamina thing. It's rather stupid for stamina on a card game like this. I do like the game but really hard to enjoy it as much as I want to because of it alan12341234 Member Oct 30, 2012 7 0 0 #17 alan12341234, May 11, 2015 I found myself stupid paying the ad shield plus the 300 gems pack but still having the timer and the game just stop letting you to get through with a battle that will deal 10 damage to every character - with range; you can't do anything to stop this to happen. It feels like cheating to buy the 5 mana cards by gems but whatever... I'm a bit tired of it ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #18 ShinHadoukin, May 11, 2015 Can you at least replay missions for gems? ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #19 ShinHadoukin, May 12, 2015 How about a developer say something to what is being said in this forum. You have made a great game....but stamina nonsense needs to go! I know people spend absurd amounts of money on games, but who in their right mind would spend money & not get to play freely? I'm all for hindrances when you pay nothing, but if I spend $18 for the biggest gem option I still have limited play due to my characters needing to heal. Also, do I have to pay 4 more bucks to remove ads? As I said before, I'll pay just b/c of the art & production value but not to just spend & still be subject to a timer. Puzzle to the Middle of the Earth is an example. $5 no more limit on lives. Dungelot 2 learned its lesson & you could pay $5 & no longer have a life limit. I'm not saying $5, but pick a price to pay for ad and stamina removal. Thank you. Some really good ideas and suggestions being bounced around. Keep them coming. We read them all. They matter! We are working on a change to the stamina/fatigue system that should make everything more clear and be less intrusive. We'll also heavily consider an IAP to get rid of both Ads and Stamina. Thanks for the suggestion. Oh, The next update to SoulSpark is getting very close. We'll post more info soon! PS. did you guys remember to sign up for the Art Challenge?
