The UX is pretty low grade with big chunky ever-present square buttons for the settings, rules, info. Not too bad but just too large and constant for my liking. The troops are nicely presented though, terrain is OK. The gameplay is basic but functional. Sadly Its nowhere near a Slitherine game so much so that I'm never going to fire it up. Maps are smaller, units can only attack after moving if you do not deselect (so no ability to group an attack by approaching separately). Flanking works but no unit direction functionality. I could go on, but for tactical it doesn't come near a battle academy or pike and shot for me ... So is dead weight. I wanted to try a hexwar game (they all look exactly the same functionally) - so at least this has helped me work out where I should spend my money! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
