Game features: - Connect 3 or more items/creatures of the same type to discover the next link of the chain; - Plan your move strategically to make sure that the next one is possible; - Earn and upgrade Bonus Actions that will help you to recover from hard situations; - Classic "Boulder Dash" like gravity mechanics; - Absurdopedia: funny descriptions of the items in the chain. - This is a mix between Triple Town and Dungeon Raid. *** Reviews *** - Time Magazine (online) - featured in "Best New iPhone Puzzle Games": "I am immediately fond of any game that embraces its own absurdity on the most superficial level. At first, this plays like most match games—the basic principle of which is to line up as many similar items in a row. But in Deeply Absurd Chain, matching items only reveals the next link in the chain, allowing for far more complicated moves. It’s a game that sends you down a rabbit hole of cartoonish puzzling with an archeological theme." - Daily Mail UK: "I admit I started playing this purely because of the beguiling title, but it’s a pretty fun little puzzle game, devoid of the usual Candy Crush moments where the game rudely asks for your credit card. You draw lines to connect together blobs, and slowly ‘evolve’ prehistoric creatures. Little brain power is required, but it has a serene, hypnotic quality." - JayIsGames: "The longest chain is not necessarily the best move. You need to keep in mind your surroundings. Maybe you want that big patch of rocks to become three warm-blooded rocks instead of just one so you can combine those three into the next part of the chain. Where you end your match is important as well because the upgraded item will land there. Speed isn't a factor, so take your time to plan the best moves... Deeply Absurd Chain has a surprising amount of strategy for something so easy to pick up, and it will keep you playing for quite awhile." - OneMoreLevel: "Who knows what absurd thing you'll find lurking under the surface of the earth in this strategic match-3 game." But we plan adding one-time IAP option to remove ads. While please note that even now there are no distracting ads during the gameplay itself. Thank you for your interest in our game! The game supports 3 different powerups and what you buy with the game's fairly generous point/cash system aren't your typical single use nonsense. Instead you're purchasing a permanent allowance of the stated powerups PER GAME. So for 800 you'd buy the right to use the magnet powerup once each game for as long as you own the game but to be able to use that same powerup twice each game, the second instance is then an additional 1600. No clue if there is a maximum but these powerups clearly get more and more expensive with each additional usage added per game. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Original idea was that most players will turn off the music anyway - because it gets annoying after some time vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #16 vectorarchitekt, Feb 26, 2015 Last edited: Feb 26, 2015 True, an option to keep it off is always good. But I have to admit it's not as fun as Damn Little Town. Any chance your next game is more like Damn Little Town? I still rated this game 5 stars in the app store because I see you worked hard on this game, you deserve it. Just not my kind of game I guess. I'll play it some more though. fiskadoro Well-Known Member Jan 1, 2009 326 17 18 Chicago, IL #19 fiskadoro, Feb 26, 2015 Enjoying this so far, too. Look forward to an IAP for no ads. Also, are you planning Game Center integration? I'm not hugely into boasting high schools, but it'd be nice to see how my current best depth (I think it's just 121) compares to others. Some achievements would make it fun, too. The game does involve a fair bit of thinking and strategy, rather than just mindlessly tracing the longest path, so I think there's a lot of potential here. lumarama Well-Known Member Apr 20, 2012 117 0 16 http://lumarama.com/blog #20 lumarama, Feb 26, 2015 Last edited: Feb 26, 2015 Thanks a lot! I'm thinking about Damn Little Town update to fix one of its major issues - too much randomness. In genaral I have 3 quite good ideas for the next game - you may like at least one of these. Not sure yet which one will win. But I think this is another story (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
