It plays very well and it's great fun. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #14 y2kmp3, Jan 15, 2015 Very intrigued, esp with an endorsement from Roger-NL! Saw the trailer. Very clean interface. Do all of the levels have unique solutions? Or can the tiles be arranged in different ways to create different paths and hence different solutions for some levels? ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #15 ROGER-NL, Jan 15, 2015 Played 28 levels now and they only have one solution so far, but don't pin me down on it. It's fairly easy so far, hope it will get more difficult in the later stages. It has no Game Center that's a let down, but maybe in an update. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #16 y2kmp3, Jan 15, 2015 Last edited: Jan 15, 2015 There should be trivial variants of multiple solutions in levels in which a "turn" tile can be substituted with another "turn" tile as long as the distal cardinal direction imposed by the turn is not affected by the substitution. This is possible since the proximal cardinal direction can be ignored by the ball as it approaches a tile with the "turn" if there is no competitive path. This is obvious for levels in which redundant tiles are given. Thus, I am more interested to know if such different solutions exist in levels in which there are NO redundant tiles so that a "double" substitution must be done for the alternate solutions. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #17 y2kmp3, Jan 16, 2015 Last edited: Jan 16, 2015 Just finished game. An enjoyable overall experience. Developer previously released another puzzle game called Huebrix. Beautiful aesthetics. Minimalistic "flat" design. Puzzles are on the easy side. Solutions to most levels are immediately obvious at first sight and can be discovered quickly by just stepping backward from the goal tile to see what playable tiles are required. A few interesting facts about the puzzle design in this game: 1. Not all playable action tiles are required to solve some levels. 2. Some fixed action tiles in some levels are not needed at all and can be regarded as red herrings. 3. Multiple solutions exist for many levels. These multiple solutions exist in four forms: 1) variants that are simple substitutions of the turn tiles that do not affect the path of the ball; 2) variants that are simple substitutions of the jump tiles that do not affect the path of the ball; 3) variants that are mixed substitutions between buttons and pillars and blank tiles that do not affect the path of the ball; 4) truly different solutions that alter the path of the ball. Some notable examples of this latter group are Knock Knock, Monocle, Web of Deceit, Rut, Hare and the Tortoise, but there are likely many others. 4. The solution to the game's final level "Double L" requires an uncharacteristic or unexpected behavior of the ball (at least in the solution I used) that is only discoverable by trial and error (as in my case while searching for a solution). In all, I think the developers of this game were being overly conservative and restrained themselves a bit too much in leveraging the game's many mechanics to introduce more challenging puzzles. Some of the more complicated puzzles are also broken because shortcut solutions are readily left open to be exploited to bypass most of the obstacles that are intended to be part of the puzzle (Monocle is a good example of this). saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #18 saosijs, Jan 16, 2015 Thanks for your thorough impressions, y2kmp3! So puzzle design could be better in the end (in your opinion), but as I think this app/game does look good and interesting, I still like to experience it myself. Especially as you start out by saying that you enjoyed it overall, and that coming from you who has higher standards than average (in my opinion) makes it a recommendation for me y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #19 y2kmp3, Jan 16, 2015 Thank you for your compliment.
