A REAL strategy game! So addictive! 5/5 The Ancient spells are EPIC! Battles are so much fun! Where are these quotes from ? Would have been easier to say 'another Clash of Clans game' KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #3 KeKhan, Jan 9, 2015 I've been playing this for a day now - LOVING IT! Yes, it's a base builder, but I love seeing all the permutations of this genre, as it's my favorite. On top of the "typical" base builder / PvP strategy mechanics, Space Ape has incorporated some wonderful innovations and additions. Everything from the UI to the artwork to the gameplay just oozes style. It's really polished, and I love that. This one stands out as potentially being one of the best in the genre if they update, listen to the community, and play their cards right. It's free, so I'll let you d/l and discover all the nice details and touches on your own. workingman Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2012 679 0 0 Maintanence Ma #4 workingman, Jan 9, 2015 Last edited: Jan 9, 2015 It's space ape, that should say enough if your familiar with samurai siege. They seem to have really good ideas when it comes to these kinds of games. I just started playing today and so far i have no gripes. Artwork is very nice as is animations and gameplay. It's free so try it for yourself, you most likely won't be disappointed workingman Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2012 679 0 0 Maintanence Ma #5 workingman, Jan 9, 2015 I would like to know where the quotes are from also. It is a really good game (so far) KeKhan Well-Known Member May 28, 2012 1,381 43 48 #6 KeKhan, Jan 10, 2015 Last edited: Jan 11, 2015 The kingdom / alliance mechanics seem really interesting. Your role in the kingdom actually means something, many it seems that different roles confer different stat upgrades, and mechanic changes. Totally unique in the sense of realism for this genre. It's so clean as well. Everything is top - notch polish. I was even considering at a later date buying a moderate amount of gems to delve into the game good and proper. If you've started playing this game your notice that you need battle stones to go to battle and when they run out you have to wait for them to replenish. The devs have been kind enough to give an option to do it instantly for free.. how generous of them. WARNING : you will fight many battles and get used to clicking on the 'free' stones option to continue. Out of the blue totally randomly that button will be replaced with another button saying 400 gems. That practiced reaction to hit this button will be your undoing. I blew 400 gems accidently on some stones which replenish for free anyway after a set amount of time. This is got to be one of the lowest and snide tricks I've seen in the free-to-play industry and if it weren't for this I would of happily supported the devs. Now how can I not expect any button to suddenly be replaced with a pay with gems option? I'm removing this app purely because of these low practices. The devs need to take a good look at themselves and think about what's more important, a loyal community who would of supported them or mindless people who'll play with these kind of exploitative game mechanics. There's only one way to get this message across to the devs who do this. Do not download this game, otherwise your just encouraging them to carry on taking advantage. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #16 Zeillusion, May 8, 2015 Space Ape is not one of those companies that do the things you claim. Are you talking about battle stones? Did you try and battle someone at 0? And replenish them for 400? Don't worry you get plenty of free GEMS. The fact that you start with a bunch and also get hundreds upon hundreds from achievements... So you accidentely didn't pay attention to the screen and spent some currency? Doesn't give you the right to make such bold claims like that. The games beautiful and a TON of love went into it. Strong hold 5 already and everyone it's enjoying the heck out of it. Samurai siege was an amazing game as wel. Most games don't have warning but if enough people suggest they usually add it. I know for building there's no warning to speed up but it's at the very bottom and there's no way you'd accidentely press it unless your not looking or rushing. In siege they added a "are you sure?" I'm sure they'll add one in rival kingdoms. Clash didn't have one either until they added. But yeah.. So you were reckless and didn't pay attention. I value your opinion but what your stating is pretty rude imo. Your not just giving positive or critical feedback. Your putting the devs down, calling them crooks, calling the game sickening and blaming something you did on them. If you take a step off a balcony and fall because you decided not to where the stairs were? or do you blame the person for not putting a giant arrow in front of your face that reads PLEASE LOOK AT STAIRS WHILE WALKING. :/ Anyways I'm having a great deal of fun. The game just released yesterday. Send them feedback ^.^ it's helpful. Tanshui Well-Known Member May 8, 2015 107 0 0 #17 Tanshui, May 8, 2015 I normally lurk but had to create an account to respond to this. There's a very very small chance you're playing a different version than I am - I don't know, I downloaded it yesterday. But when you run out of stones and click the button the game CLEARLY states that normally it costs gems, but this time the refill will be free. It further states that there is 9x freebies left after this one, and normally the cost of 400 gems is still visible but crossed out (kind of like an on sale) to become 0 gems. I'm really not sure how the game designers can get any more clear about how normally it cost 400 gems but this time and the next 9 times, then next 8 times, etc., is free. On a separate note, while I am not a fan of this genre I am actually quite enjoying this game. Joined a kingdom and started seeing how this raiding stuff works; seems quite complicated and there's a ton of upgrades to do in a kingdom. Leegames Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2010 1,083 0 0 Ex. game journalist and EiC now PR Denmark #18 Leegames, May 8, 2015 Actually the game clearly states how many free tries you have left. Edit: Just realized another use already commented on this. But still I do hate the timers on this. Five battles an hour is way too little, and too expensive to refill. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #19 Zeillusion, May 8, 2015 ^ thanks guys. *facepalm. I do agree I wish we had more battles but I really don't mind it. Considering you can raid an unlimited amount of times ( doesn't use stones when clan raiding ) you play until you die 5 times. Which is neat. I have a feeling the stones play a role in the mechanics. Gold is a bit more valuable in this game and your not getting attacked everytime you log. Which is neat.. So I'll take a few hour break and log in and still have my resources.
