Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #6 Sexy Pirate, Jan 9, 2015 Just been playing this for five mins and its a great pick up an play game. Simple idea of tap when the line is in the coloured sections to attack and red bars go from right to left that you need to hit or the enemy attacks you. After each enemy is killed you get to choose one of three upgrades. It's the type of nice simple game I like on my phone for a quick game. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #7 Zeillusion, Jan 9, 2015 Just bought, looks awesome! anabolicMike Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2013 302 0 0 #8 anabolicMike, Jan 9, 2015 This is tons of fun. Worth my 1.19! Yeah. Used to be .99 cents. American dollar went up I suppose lol. Anyway, this is a fun waste of time. The concept is simple, it's pretty much the same concept is those old golf games like Links Pro. Obviously it's not Golf and your using touch controls but it's basically the same, a bar moves in a line and you have to tap it on little boxes to cause damage or block. Super simple and super fun! The IAP in the game is for a satchel that contains potions. I don't know how they work because I haven't bought any. It looks like all the IAP is for people who want to have an easier chance and have some free heals mid game. I don't know if the sachel refills automatically or if the potions are one use. I'm not going to find out either because it's not something I would need! Anyway, I am going to play some more and see how it looks in later levels. It has lots of promise and I hope the pulled the trigger on it! Well worth the coffee in my opinion that no one asked for but I hope finds it at least a little interesting. fabianb Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2014 1,009 0 36 #9 fabianb, Jan 9, 2015 Looks promising. How is the replayability? I will wait some for more opinions. PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #10 PeteOzzy, Jan 9, 2015 Had a quick dive into this and it's exactly what I was hoping and better than I expected. It's one of those games that doesn't bombard you with information so that after less than a minute you know exactly what you're doing and can just focus on the gameplay. The gameplay is a little like Gauge (https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/gauge-game/id512206751?mt=8) whereby you have to tap in time to hit various markers to perform actions. It's as simple as that gameplay-wise but there's a depth to it that doesn't interfere in the streamlined nature. There are yellow attack tabs, green combo ones and red enemy attacks that move along the bar as well. Hitting those deflects the damage so it feels more like Paper Mario/Costume Quest; an RPG-lite battle system that relies on reflex and rhythmic action. It's still a highscore chaser so don't go in expecting an in-depth tactical RPG; it's more of a hardcore twitcher dressed up in a neat retro flavour than anything else. It's undeniably worth the price though and the perk system and Game Centre adds a lot to it. If you're into the genre then you'll most likely love it. There are IAPs to it unfortunately, with satchels available that increase your capacity for carrying potions. They're permanent and you can restore purchases so it's much better than it could be but it's bound to raise questions about how much of an advantage you gain on the leaderboards if you "pay to win" essentially. Personally, I'm not fussed about them but it's bound to put a few off. Hopefully the ridiculously low price will balance it for those people. Overall, I'm really happy with the purchase! toptrops Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2014 269 0 0 #11 toptrops, Jan 9, 2015 Game Impressions Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #12 NOEN, Jan 9, 2015 Thanks Pete, SP, and AM. I love this game though Xanthos Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2009 78 2 8 #14 Xanthos, Jan 15, 2015 This game is as addictive as it is frustrating. But definitely provides a ton more of satisfaction than other pick up games like flappy bird. I'm surprised the discussion thread is only 2 pages long. With the leveling system, I expect more discussion. Currently my playstyle is, in terms of importance Combo Damage > Min Damage > Max Health > Max Dmg. Kinda going for the "do not screw up" style. aconfusedkender Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2012 1,362 122 63 Oil & Gas Kendermore, Ansalon #15 aconfusedkender, Jan 19, 2015 this has been on my watchlist for a while but do you die and lose everything or can you just keep powering up your hero? chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #16 chief78, Jan 19, 2015 The major deawback is specifically that there is no RPG element. This could be a perfect fit for a permanent upgrade leveling system, but everything is lost and you reset every game. A shame really... chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #17 chief78, Jan 19, 2015 The best I can muster Attached Files: image.jpg File size: 72.3 KB Views: 3 coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #18 coolpepper43, Nov 15, 2015 It looks like this is now Free to Play.
