You can actually wander the world map and encounter random battles. It feels like a complete game. The dev said the game is decently long. And there's quite a bit of story there too. Honestly, if someone said SQE made this game I'd believe it (before they went freemium). This is a game the a big RPG company should've made. I'm glad this dev had enough courtesy to try and make something worth buying and not make me feel cheated. Most 2D games on the app store don't even have nearly the amount of animation frames this game has. Very high production values, fantastic puzzling, great RPG mechanics, the map system is just superb, the controls work perfectly, the story telling and cutscenes are in similar fashion to Valkyrie profile but tilting more into the comedy side, each character has their own "character", the screen transitions from map to cutscenes to battles are flawlessly implemented, and the sounds and visuals are sooo friggin good. Did i miss anything? Oh, and the english is pretty good too despite a few funny choice of words... Some levels are absolutely brutal if you are totally unprepared for the elemental play. Plus this one map is a sort of puzzle and I spent a good half hour or so trying to keep my health up on par with my damage because mobs were resistant to my element. Overall, it is an easy recommend if you are into match 3 games. I love the role playing elements and the strategy derived from combining more than 3 elements to use skills. It's also a blast to watch your party dish out some pain and heals as emblems get matched in combos. Highly recommended!
