Humanity’s most advanced fighting force lurked in the shadows, doing little while their species was forced to choose between eternal enslavement… or extinction. The wait ends when Admiral Franks, the legendary Storm Lord at the head of the Legion, announces a system-wide uprising against humanity’s oppressors. Cromulus and his team of human fanatics find themselves on the front lines, doing whatever it takes to crush the will of the Invaders. In SOL INVICTUS, Cromulus finds out that not all humans are willing to take the kinds of risks that he takes. And while he has less than zero tolerance for pacifism, what the Legion does with its softer recruits may be too much even for him… The second part of Kyle B. Stiff’s legendary adventure gamebook series has been brought to life as never before in this official SOL INVICTUS game. Super atmospheric, and very well put together. I love the audio." - Don't forget a towel (9.25/10) "High replay value with its divergent narratives." -- App Advice "Overall verdict: great, great, great." -- Lloyd of Gamebooks-- Pocket Gamer (Silver Award)------------------------------------"The kind of deathly sci-fi that you’ll enjoy if you liked Dead Space or the frightening moments of desperation in Gravity.""Heavy Metal Thunder is a cruel and unforgiving gamebook. It bashes you against the debris of space over and over, and is happy to leave you at the mercy of all manner of terrors.""It's a pretty big departure from the usual tone we've come to expect from iOS gamebooks, and that's no bad thing. It's not quite hard sci-fi, but there's a bleakness here that you rarely find in a Fighting Fantasy adaptation.""It's refreshingly grim, and manages to keep you entertained throughout its hefty running time.""Fans of the genre thirsting for something a little darker should definitely give it a look."-- Pocket Tactics--------------------"A big sweeping pulp sci-fi story of impossible odds and encroaching insanity.""I had a lot of fun with Heavy Metal Thunder, and look forward to future installments." Hopefully this will be good. cooltea Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jan 19, 2011 139 0 16 France #19 cooltea, Jan 17, 2015 Issue with the game I went through HMT in a week: I really liked it and the game mechanics is rather fun. I was happy to find there was a sequel which I hurriedly downloaded. I was pleased by the minor tweaks in the UI. I've started the game and have encountered an issue: it seems I cannot buy any weapons, the dollari go down but the weapons are not listed. Buying items work though. I hope the developers fix the issue quickly. Bloodangel Well-Known Member Jan 19, 2011 1,824 46 48 Retail England #20 Bloodangel, May 29, 2016 Was this ever fixed as I recently started this, and have noticed the items I purchase at start, don't appear in my inventory (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
