I don't think this game is for everyone. With a little research I figured out if I would like it or loath it. I on the other hand can not praise the developers enough as this works way better than I imagined. Not perfect by any means but totally serviceable. It's easy to hopp online and get a game going and no crashes so far. 3 dollars well spent ! fabianb Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2014 1,009 0 36 #13 fabianb, Jan 9, 2015 So how does it play? Would this be a good first introduction to Frozen Synapse, or would I be better off learning things on my iPad? I bought it when it launched, but it never really got much play time due to other games and an ever increasing backlog... metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #16 metalcasket, Jan 9, 2015 I'm in the same boat, and bought the iPhone version yesterday. I'd say there's absolutely no harm in starting off with the iPhone version...it's a little ridiculous how well it plays. I've been playing games on iOS since the start of the platform in 2007 and buy a LOT of games weekly. I have a wide taste in genres including strategy which is why I thought I'd enjoy this ( along with the gushing reviews ) but for me the graphics and presentation let it down. I thought after the studio had all the extra time to polish it for the iPhone release that it would sparkle but visually it does look very cheap. To me the interface is a mess and really detracts from the gameplay. Just an opinion from a true iOS gamer. gamer300 Well-Known Member Feb 11, 2014 193 0 0 Europe #18 gamer300, Jan 9, 2015 Last edited: Jan 9, 2015 I am enjoying this game alot, and thats putting it lightly. I've never actually played the Ipad or PC versions but i already knew what i was getting myself into because of reviews and multiple videos. Honestly, i also expected it to be more expensive, and i would have been happy to pay more. I also discovered a minor glitch with the documents in the campaign. When i select a document and press the "open document" button, the button changes into "close document". When i'm done reading and press it, it does not change back into the "open document" but instead stays the same. The only way to read another document is by restarting the app or playing a game.
