I followed this game in the Upcoming forums. It looks promising.

    Any Impressions?

It looks like a "Civ-Manager". A mix of Civilization and a Manager game where the success and joy is in the details of management.

I will say that it does look polished.

Pre-Civilization Marble Age (by Echidna LLC /clarusvictoria)

    Official press-release

«Pre-Civilization Marble Age»: new strategy game from indie-developer “ClarusVictoria”

12.16.2014. Indie developer ClarusVictoria presents a new project - turn-based historical multiplatform strategy "Pre-Civilization Marble Age." The game became a logical continuation of the strategies "Pre-Civilization: The Stone Age" and "Pre-Civilization: The Bronze Age".

The third part of the "Pre-civilization" - is an original turn-based historical strategy, created by developers that were greatly inspired with such masterpieces of industry as Civilization, Europe Universalis, Victoria, Crusader Kings and other projects, which have earned the recognition of players worldwide. The game takes place in Europe, against the background of real events of the historical period from 3000 BC to 1000 AD.

It all begins in a small Greek village: the player will build and develop his own possession, to trade, negotiate and fight with neighbors to eventually colonize the world and create his own empire of the Marble Age.

Would love to hear some impressions. To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

I've spent over $200 on IOS and Vita games in the last 2 weeks, so I'm not chomping at the bit to spend more, but I so want this to be great. There really aren't any good Civ like games on IOS. How crazy is it that in 2014(almost 2015) we have no great grand Civ like game, other than the Civ Rev games, which are neither great nor grand.

The gameplay is consistent with their previous pre civilization titles (mostly a resource management game). Battles are fought offscreen so don't expect a 4X game. It's a good pick up and play game with a clean interface and endless replayability, but it has more in common with Kairosoft titles than Civilization.

    I'm enjoying it, though.

Just my humble opinion based on less than an hour of game time so please don't flame me if you disagree.

Played a couple of the flash games in the series. Is the game still a short affair where you need to achieve victory in x amount of turns? It seems like it from the description.

    Answering questions

Play test showed that it took more than 6+ hours minimum to beat the game (by the very hardcore strategy player). And beleive me it would be the Challenge and will took a lot of thinking. I can promise you that.:)

BTW - we are making a pricedrop in Friday (12.19.2014)

Try PC demo - it will solve the "to Buy or not to Buy?" question.

Yep! I get item currently not available on the App Store message. I have rebooted iPad, and searched for your game by name in App Store too. It shows up in the search drop down but on choosing it, I get that error. I cannot see your previous game either. Let me know if I can help out somehow.

It's maybe because of pricedrops we've set for tomorow. Hope in some time it will be okay. Keep me informed please - if it continues - i'll write to Apple support.

You have to love a developer that will give a heads up about a sale on a new app.
I think that might be enough for me to try it out. That is someone that deserves my support.

    Kudos clarusvictoria
