Welcome to the forum. Just a couple of hours ago, I hadn't heard of the game, but between your Twitter account, website, the previews I've found, etc. I can't wait to buy Betram Fiddle (not a stalker, promise! ). I was waiting for Papers, Please to show up and buy both at the same time...but alas it looks like that'll be a worldwide release, so...yep. Might as well set up an avatar for you, being the developer and all. If you want something other than your app icon, hit me up with a private message and I'll sort it out. Saw the gameplay trailer. Very polished presentation with voice acting. Will give this game a try. BeefJerky Well-Known Member Jun 4, 2009 392 1 0 #10 BeefJerky, Dec 12, 2014 I played this entire thing yesterday. It's excellent and very funny. Had some real laugh out loud moments. The point and click gaming is nice and clear - nothing too obscure. The upside of that is that it never gets frustrating but I guess it also means that there isn't a huge amount of challenge. Not sure that matters because it's a lot of fun to play through. Really enjoyed it. Filled full of silly names, words and double entendres that are actually quite smart rather than juvenile. Had one bug where a second Betram walked across the screen for no apparent reason. And the only other criticism I would probably have is that I would have preferred that the game focus a little more clearly on the goal of this particular episode, with the other elements being shifted into the background slightly. The reason being that I think it would have made the end of this that bit more satisfying while still being able to lead into episode 2, whenever that comes. The goal of this episode and what appears to be the overall series goal are tied together here so all it would have taken is more of a reminder that our primary goal is to get the dog. Looking forward to more. Loved Poky Mary in particular. It's hard to compete with games like Seabird, Tales From The Borderlands and Papers, Please. And it was a expansive week. I bought it already to play soon. mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #12 mr_bez, Dec 12, 2014 Queston for the dev: what are your release lans for later episodes? I've played a few iOS adventure games that I've really enjoyed, but either the second episode didn't materialise at all (e.g. Fester Mudd) or arrived after I'd all but forgotten the first episode (e.g. The Journey Down). We've sort of been overwhelmed with how well Bertram is doing. It's our first game so we were quite unsure of how to tell people about it... but getting featured on the Appstore has blown us away! We really appreciate all your help. This is a learning experience for us too, so if you want to tell us something please do. In regards to the second episode, we haven't officially started yet. But I have the rough draft of the story and plot all written. We like to keep things flexible so we can change and adapt, but the general outline is ready. It took us just over a year to finish Episode 1, but we did have some funding which meant we could (almost) work on it full-time. The next episode hasn't got any funding yet so we are considering how to do that. However, since we've already built the engine Episode 2 should be a bit faster. I'd like to try and get it ready for July 2015... but that may be being optimistic! Especially as I want to make episode 2 BIGGER and BETTER! If you have any more questions just ask and thanks once more for your help! Rosso Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2010 236 12 18 #15 Rosso, Dec 12, 2014 May all your wishes come true! Well deserved! I enjoy point/click adventures but so many are way too elaborate & detailed that I eventually move on. This one was perfect. I had to hunt a little to keep the game moving along but not so much it became frustrating at all. Humor was awesome. Puzzles fun. Gameplay perfect. I am looking forward to the next episode. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #20 slewis7, Sep 14, 2015 Bump: this is on sale for a just a dollar.
