Totally agree with everything this guy is saying about IT in schools (in the UK at least). I dropped out of it since lessons consisted of nothing more than learning how to use MS Office and as a result I knew more than the teachers. If there had actually been anything related to computer technology in there I'd have enjoyed it and stayed on, but learning how to write a letter doesn't require a PC.
I asked my teacher if we would ever learn how .exe files work during the class. She said we would. We didn't. Instead, we made Powerpoints. What surprised me even more was the huge number of people who didn't already know all the material. I thought it was common sense, really.
