Now take off with your rescue helicopter and search and save the life of the wounded soldiers in the field, often under fire. If you can't, nobody else can! Find the stolen cargo with your Chinook helicopter and transport them safely to the nearby friendly base, all the while fighting off hostile tanks and other enemy combatants. Save hostages being held in Prisoner of War camps. They are desperately waiting for the remarkable sound of the evac helicopters. You are their last hope so save them all! Flying Dustoffs take courage on your part as a helicopter pilot, as ground fire is the rule rather than the exception. The rewards, however, are great. MAIN FEATURES - Up to 16 unique missions - 3 rescue helicopters, each with different handling and transport characteristics - 3 weapons with different capabilities - Various missions like: cargo transportation, saving hostages and stopping enemy convoys - Various daytime and weather conditions like stormy heavy rains and beautiful sunset over the jungles - Numerous war scenes including jungles, swamps, hidden cave and mine systems and a lot more - Epic action music and cinematic sound effects All in a well known blocky style. 100% kid friendly game: no man can be killed, enemies always run away. The graphics look great, i did find the controls tricky as they get some getting used to, would have preferred and easier 'joystick' on the left to move about. Once you get used to it its good NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #7 NOEN, Dec 3, 2014 Last edited: Dec 3, 2014 This just looks straight up sick. Glad it's out now. I don't have to wait. I'll try to leave some quick imps once I dig into it a little. I know I've been slacking on impressions lately. There's still a couple that people are waiting for. It's Fall, so that's pretty much my favorite time of year for game releases. Between next gen and current gen consoles pumping out games every week and the AppStore pumping them out pretty much daily, there is just so much to play! Anyway, back on topic. Yea, this looks pretty cool. The Minecraft style graphics are an odd choice for a Vietnam themed game, but it still looks fun none the less. cabuckn2 Active Member Sep 9, 2014 41 0 0 #8 cabuckn2, Dec 3, 2014 This looks great after watching the video. I am curious how much gameplay we can get out of this game though. I wouldn't mind getting it if it had some type of "free flight" mode. My 6 year old would LOVE this. Can anyone explain the controls? meril Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Oct 13, 2011 65 0 6 Switzerland #10 meril, Dec 3, 2014 Interesting, looks like a modern version of "coplifter", an arcade game from the 80ies. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 3 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #11 Exact-Psience, Dec 3, 2014 Im pretty sure it was Choplifter Rutter1984 Active Member Nov 21, 2014 37 0 0 #12 Rutter1984, Dec 3, 2014 Last edited: Dec 3, 2014 Like the look of this. The only thing that puts me off is that there seems to be no fighting/killing. Does this mean that it's geared towards kids? Edit: just watched the video. Seemed like you can shoot guns after all. The description is misleading. I think I will buy it. meril Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Oct 13, 2011 65 0 6 Switzerland #13 meril, Dec 3, 2014 hehe, shure :-D cabuckn2 Active Member Sep 9, 2014 41 0 0 #14 cabuckn2, Dec 3, 2014 Anyone have any first impressions yet? If you tap both sides it raises straight up. Not tapping will let gravity do its work. That's it. Aiming and firing is automatic. pepper1234 Member Nov 12, 2014 21 0 0 #16 pepper1234, Dec 3, 2014 Looks like it could be fun. I get a kick out of crashing sooooo a learning curve is no problem. Me and the boy might be screaming ahhhhhh tomorrow after school Rutter1984 Active Member Nov 21, 2014 37 0 0 #17 Rutter1984, Dec 3, 2014 Just blasted through the first 5 missions. This game is fun. The helicopter can seem difficult to control at first but you get the hang of it quickly NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #18 NOEN, Dec 3, 2014 Definitely a fun game. Only played about 10 mins so far, but well worth the price IMO. sleb Well-Known Member Feb 7, 2010 385 3 18 Ohio #19 sleb, Dec 3, 2014 Very fun game. If you liked Choplifter, this is a more modern take. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #20 orangecan, Dec 3, 2014 Question to anyone whose taken the plunge - how are the controls? I love a good helicopter game but I'm absolutely dreadful at them. My ineptness stretches from any GTA helicopter mission back to the original choplifter..... No idea why I'm ok with planes just crap with copters. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
