Is it coz it's a soft launch? Or does it have a significant amount of "features" suggesting it is freemium? Xexist Well-Known Member May 6, 2010 2,440 1 0 Canada #4 Xexist, Nov 28, 2014 SE would never soft launch free out of the goodness of their hearts. Almost guaranteed freemium. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #5 NOEN, Nov 28, 2014 Very nice looking. Looks like I'm heading to Canada. Yea, my guess is it's a F2P game EP. Sad, but I'm actually getting used to every other game being free. I remember when I would spend 30 bucks a week on iOS games. Now I'm averaging about 10 bucks on a good week. Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #6 Sanuku, Nov 28, 2014 I would like to tell everyone first to try the Game out before even assuming it might be bad at all since even if it`s Freemium and has iAP/Timer in it so far my Gaming Experiance with it hasn`t been bad at all and I am more then willing to spend more time with it. I hope it's not another one of their collectible online games.. Capricornman Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2011 2,993 0 0 #9 Capricornman, Nov 28, 2014 Looks interesting but I sense pay to win. How much precious time should I devote to this if I download it which I'm curious to know so I'll probably give in and download it. And lastly I'm getting a little weary of being sold the idea of PvP just so I can kick some butt and rule the world. Can't we just all get along❤️☺️ L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,388 397 83 #10 L.Lawliet, Nov 28, 2014 Aw crap I guess it is an online game.. Sanuku's video shows it taking like maybe 10 seconds to sign in because it's "logging in". And says to play with stable wifi to prevent data loss. What a joke. Basically you have to have a steady Internet or the game might wipe your progress. SQE, you really are money grubbers. I'm disappointed all that app makers nowadays think single player = multiplayer. Capricornman Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2011 2,993 0 0 #11 Capricornman, Nov 28, 2014 Ah thanks for letting us know! All of a sudden I have free time. Unexpected pairing, there. Kirenx Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2012 774 0 0 #15 Kirenx, Nov 29, 2014 I'm enjoying the game so far. Yeah, it would have been a lot better without the freemium timers, however, the game is polished enough and mechanically enjoyable enough that I can get past them. I do worry about the balance issue that always rears its head with random draws, multiple rarities, and multiplayer. No problems yet though, so hopefully this title lasts a few weeks before it becomes frustrating. In this day and age, ANYTHING that's free = "freemium" = requires an online connection or it's hacked before the end of the first day and the developers abandon support for it altogether after a month. If they require continual on-line, that at least delays that hack by a day or two, and its use will never be as widespread. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,388 397 83 #19 L.Lawliet, Nov 29, 2014 Delaying a hack by a couple days and in return making the game completely online seems like a bad trade off. You also don't realize that most of these games will go offline at some point and you'll never be able to play them again. Even big company games often shut down online servers when they stop making money. Doesn't happen with offline games. Kirenx Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2012 774 0 0 #20 Kirenx, Nov 29, 2014 It's kind of a weird comparison as they are drastically different games. However, in terms of pure enjoyment, I find Heavenstrike a lot faster paced and overall more fun. The units are more dynamic in terms of animation, which in turn also makes the collection aspect more enjoyable. That said, I have run into a fairly major bug early on. If you click the special deals banner during the tutorial, you can buy units right away. However, if you do so, you will not be able to complete the tutorial and will have to restart. Since you can't use new units until you finish the tutorial, it is best to simply avoid buying anything early for now. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
